I sent one of my coworkers to the ER tonight bc she was complaining to me about having severe abdominal pain and lower back pain. She also had diarrhea and looked like she was gonna pass out. I told her she might have a cyst and/or endometriosis. I told her my sister's story and what happens if you ignore your symptoms. What happened to my sister really *****, but at least when girls come up to me at work now with those symptoms I have something to tell them. It actually happens quite a bit.

I told another girl to go to the ER because she lost her appetite and she did a few days later. Turned out she had more blood flowing to part of her brain and it was giving her migraines. These 2 girls actually listened to me and I'm glad they did. I have pretty good instincts when it comes to health. I spend a lot of my free time reading webmd and medhelp, plus my mom works in a clinic and my mil is a doctor.

One girl who won't listen to me and probably should is on the depo provera shot. She's been having severe cramping and long periods. I told her she is probably having a reaction to the shot, but she won't do anything about it. It could be nothing, but I'd hate to see something happen to her because she has a little son. I guess you can't help everyone! As a woman, sometimes that's hard to accept.
