Went to the endo today. We had the standard tests done and I had a large amount of Ketones in my urine. I also had been losing weight the last 2 visits and the doctor thinks that the ketones could be causing it. Before the visit I rarely drank water (not as much as I should have been). I also had some problems with morning lows so I had reworked my humalog and lantus dose. I had gradually lowered my lantus from 29u at night and ended up taking anywhere from 10-14u before bed and a baseline of 5 units of Humalog before a meal if the bg tests were in range to keep it there. The doctor said the ketones could also be a result of there not being enough insulin in the body so I reverted back to my original 29u of insulin. Next appointment is in December where A1c will probably be taken.
