Not only did I go to my first non-work-related party since I've been to Canada, but I also managed to go to a party and not drink or eat! You don't even realize how hard that was since we all sat around a table with a big wheel of cheese in the middle. Oh my God, I turned down cheese! Get this, I even managed to drink my shake in front of everyone and played it off pretty well. The only thing I didn't do is tell them WHY I was not drinking. For some reason, I didn't want to use the "because I want to lose weight' excuse. I mean its obvious by looking at me that I NEED to lose weight. I guess I just didn't want to state the obvious. I found out that Steve, my boyfriend, has lost about 8 pound this week doing his own rendition of this diet. Basically, he drinks Slimfast shakes and eats WeightWatchers or LeanCuisine frozen dinners. It's not fair how some people can just DECIDE to lose weight...and then it actually happens. I still have three more days until my next weigh-in and I am already dreading it. I have to admit, the weekends are tough. I don't have enough to occupy my thoughts so I want to eat...and I am starving. I've also noticed that I don't have any energy on the weekends. Now, I don't know if this is because I am truly worn down from a crazy work week, or if it is because of my diet. I guess we will see if the weight comes off if my energy levels go up.
