I gained weight steadily up until I was 110 kg (242 lbs) at the age of 19. When I started to live on my own, I lost about 40 kg (88 lbs) in one year, leaving me at a "normal" weight of 70 kg (154 lbs) at the age of 20 (I'm 1.69m/5.54 feet tall).
I'm now 21 years old, still at a weight around 70 kg, but after losing all the weight I was hoping the excessive skin would start to disappear soon. I was told since I am young, my skin should be able to pull itself together, but it doesn't seem like that is gonna happen. So, I'm basically out looking for any kind of advice that might help me. It's not fun when your friends keep trying to touch ur stomach cause its so "nice and soft"...
What I have read about online is that you can train your muscles so that they "fill out" the skin (but with the amount of extra skin I got, especially around the stomach/waist, I don't think that would be possible). Another advice was to lose even more weight, cause the problem might be that there is still fat remaining preventing the skin from pulling itself together.
I have just started using the Winsor Pilates 20-Minute Workout (3rd day now), so I'm hoping it will at least have some effect, but I'm not very optimistic. Also, I don't feel that I'm able to do the exercises correctly.
Anywho, I was really just looking for advice. The last solution that I really don't wanna use is surgery, since as I'm currently studying abroad, and will maybe continue to do so for the next 4-5 years, I would probably have to wait until I get back to my own country to get the surgery done.
So, any advice is really appreciated! And I mean ANY advice or suggestion...
