Brain surgery

Jun 08, 2008 - 2 comments

I had brain surgery done on april the 10th for a benign Meningioma. I am 8 weeks after surgery right now and have some real up and down days with this. I suffered a rotten infection in about week 5 and was treated with antibiotics. I felt really good for about 2 weeks after the treatment and had to go back to the doctor this past week to get more antibiotics as i am experiencing a lot of pressure in the front of my head. I seem to need a lot of daytime naps again and am starting to wonder if this is normal 8 weeks after surgery. am hoping to talk to people who have had the same surgery and experience. I am still taking the drug dilantin altough I never had any seizures. Please share your experiences with me. I do not see my specialist until july and get a MRI at the end of June

You are fortunate that they were able to operate and remove your meningioma.  Mine is inoperable and I wish I could take it out myself.  I am having seizures almost every hour for the past two days.  I don't know what is going on.  I have a shunt and I guess it is working.  I am at the point that I just hate to go back to doctors/hospitals for anything.  How are you doing now?

To all of you the dilantin is a miracle medication( READ " THE STORY OF THE MIRACLE MEDICINE BY JACK DEFRYES), and special for seizures, combine with great super healthy food, plus being active in the fresh air and not in the gym......think little more what is the big difference gym with the park, forest, mountain, ruver, ocean, and more  places to go for a nice fresh air ! (:
You can eliminate all these crazy bacteria and viruses, just doing the right things , like in the old times:1. STAY WAY FROM THESE DOCTORS 2 EATING SUPER HEALTHY FOOD( EXPENSIVE, I KNOW THAT ALL ARE!!!!, SORRY!)
3. WALKING, SWIMMING, READING, DOING ACTIVITY IN THE FRESH AIR AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, NOT 30 MINUTES BUT AT LEAST 3-4 HOURS A DAY( I USED TO DO 10 HOURS A DAY (:
OK, AND THAN FIND A NICE FRIEND TO HAVE SOME NICE TALK AND LAUGH! THE GREAT MEDICINE ON THIS PLANET!
