2nd Ultrasound

Nov 19, 2009 - 6 comments

Just got back from having my ultrasound done. They did an abdominal and a transvaginal. The radiologist had an intern with her so I let her know that I already knew that there was no baby so not to worry about trying to hide it. After saying that everything went smoothly. They even talked to me by answering some questions which they normally never do. For one they did not see any fibroids, and two that  the sac had collapsed and was not visibly seen anymore. Also they told me that my cervix is filled with blood and it could happen anytime now. Atleast I have a heads up as to what to expect within the next week. Also she said that the symptoms that I am having today are similar to what women have just before a period. In total the exam took about 30 minutes.Eventhough the results came back as no viability it was a very pleasant exam and I really appreciated how wonderful the ladies were.
Okay, now I am going to have a big glass of wine and start planning on how the heck I am going to lose the weight that I gained. I feel pretty good but I am sure that my emotions are going to be on a rollercoaster ride until this is totally over with.

I am so sorry to hear that.  I was still holding out hope for you.  Its hard to know what to say. The people that you deal with can certainly either help a situation or make it worse depending on their attitude.  I'm glad that they did a good job of helping you.  Wishing you the strength to deal with your loss and the courage to try again in the future.  God bless.

PS.  I will join you in that glass of wine. ((hugs))

I'm so sorry to hear this news, but glad you found the answers you needed for closure.  Know that God will bless you with the strength and wisdom you need to pull through this and move forward.  God hears your hearts desires and when the time is right will bless you.

I'm so sorry Debbie,

I kept watching the clock and thinking about you today - hoping for a miracle.  I'm so glad the radiologist and intern made the appointment "easier" .    Your strength is inspiring - I hope your heart heals and that you try again.  My thoughts are with you.
