Chronic Severe Hypotension

Dec 09, 2009 - 0 comments

I have been suffering from severe hypotension.  My regular blood pressure is about 60/48.  Sometimes it is much lower but rarely higher.  I have had numerous tests but they can't figure out why my blood pressure is so low.  I also have chronic anemia.  I am down about 2 1/2 pints of blood and have iron infusions once a month though my hemotologist said that my blood work shows that I my body is only using about 5% of the iron which is strange because it is being put directly into my blood stream via IV.  He also has no idea why I have severe anemia because all the tests for internal bleeding are negative.  He is having me get a uterus removal because he wants me to stop having periods because when I do I can't even get out of bed.  I am allergic to birth control and my daughter is 17 so we don't want anymore children so he is having me get a medically necessary uterus removal.  My Hemotologist is stumped just like the rest of my specialists.
