baby appears normal but screen showed high risk of down syndrome, because of the thickness of the back of the neck which is 3.14mm... blood tests are normal... so the adjusted risk of down syndrome is 1:39.

I hope everything turns out fine. Were you on any fertility medication or taking Folic acid when you were pregnant?
A child with DS is hard on any parent, not because you can't love the child you'd probably love it more it's the fact you are always worried about the what if something happens to you who will take care of the little one or even when they get older.

I pray that your beautiful baby will be fine. I can recall years ago my brother and his wife were told that their baby was high risk for down syndrome. They both had your positive attitude and my niece came out perfect with no down syndrome;-)
I'm going to have the NT scan on this comming Friday and also nervous about the high risk DS because of our age. However, I know alot of people have the back of the neck is thicker than normal but turn out the perfect baby....so I'm very positive about this. Everything will be fine. I'm praying for you and me too. Can they tell us the gender at the NT scan as well or still too early? When could we know it?
