Oraquick

Sep 20, 2015 - 7 comments

Oraquick is a second generation assay for the qualitative detection of HIV by saliva. Per the FDA, Oraquick was discovered to have a test window of 55 days to receive an initial reliable result.  3 months is the window period to receive a final result.  This is due in part because saliva in the mucosal region of the gums has a lower presence of antibodies and are picked up later by saliva than blood. It is 99% accurate in negative results and 91.7 accurate in positive results. The test is easy to use and support is readily available.

Any negative test like oraquick is reliable after three months. This means you are negative as well. My lymph nodes swell occasionally as well. Means nothing. Stress even makes them swell.

First of all thank you for your response, but I Am having a real problem with not only my lymph nodes swelling all over my body but many other symptoms that are lining up way to closely but let me start from the beginning! I don't use needles and I Am not gay not that I think you have to be in those two groups to be at risk, but I did try using a needle once to inject a steroid once never did it again but once is all it takes! The needle was new the drug itself "tampered maybe I don't know? That was July 30 2016 in med October I started getting blood blisters on my lower legs, it would only happen when I was at work! I work for a construction company doing demo work. This job at the time was at a hospital tearing down an old mental health wing nasty stuff in the old sweage piping! Next thing is a rash on my lower legs did not itch and did look a lot like a heat rash I had gotten years ago. Next I got a cold a normal cold after two weeks it when away but after two days it stated all over again! I was shocked I never get sick like that but after a week it went away but three to four days later I start filling a itch in the back of my throat like the beginning of another cold, but this time it didn't progress like the first two colds it stayed in my throat then I became lethargic for two days then slowly came back around mild fever for one day only, but other than that nothing no cough no mucus nothing but a sore throat that till this day has not fully gone away, I can't even smoke me e-cige because it will inflame my throat. The swelling of my lymph nodes happened shortly after the last cold!! And they have stayed that way ever since. I had bloodwork done nothing eregular and two Ora Quick test one at three months and the other at four months and a week??? One other thing my eyes are always bloodshot in the morning! I Am taking one final oraquick test this Friday the thirteenth that will be the six month Mark if that is negative again then I will be at a complete loss as to what is happening to me! this has to be the most soul crushing thing someone has to go through mentally and physically!! I Am going out of my mind. Thanks again for taking the time to read...
