Richard Nixon was a pretty solid incumbent president in 1972 when he ran against and beat George McGovern.  When Watergate hit and it was obvious that there had been wholesale abuses of power up high in his administration (and by him also), there was a spate of "Don't blame me, I voted for McGovern" bumper stickers.  (It's been widely copied since, by both parties.)  This billboard reminds me of that.

I love it, myself. He was not perfect, but he loved America, and you didn't see him bowing down to foreign leaders. Our debt was not in the high high trillions.  And you never heard his wife say she didn't like America.

That is interesting, isn't it?  I wonder who put it up.  I wouldn't think the Republican party as in the last election, canidates did everything possible to distance themselves from him.  I'm really hoping that the Republican party gets some great new prospects out there!  Maybe it is a message to the moderates that are so unhappy that voted for Obama (know a couple)-----  they screwed up!

I love it myself!  Say what you want about the Bush's but I can tell you they are genuinely good people.  I do miss him but I am sooooo hoping he is enjoying retirement!  As Peggy said, sure he made mistakes, but I do believe he loved and cared about America and that all of his intentions were genuine, sincere, and that he really was doing what he thought was best in protecting us.  He did a lot of things that were "unpopular" but yet he still did them because he thought he was doing the right thing.  I voted for him so I had to have faith in him and in the fact that he had a lot more information than I did.

Okay, off my soapbox, but I love the bill board.  I had seen this in an e-mail a while back.

I think it's hilarious and wish there were more of them.  Bush was not the BEST president, but he was a helluva lot better than what we have now.

I agree that President Bush loves American and wanted the best for this country.  He governed through a very difficult time and made a lot of tough decisions.  I wouldn't say that I agreed with them all but I wouldn't fault him for trying.  That billboard is a good reminder that we have other options in any upcoming elections.  But I do wonder who is behind putting it up.

He loved us so much that he lied us into a needless war.
I cannot believe that no one seems to remember or, if they do remember, they don't care that he sent our young men and woman into war for no reason whatsoever.
Our soldiers died and treasure was squandered and for what? Tell me - do you feel safer because we invaded Iraq?

If you miss him so much go to Texas and have some barbecue with him. He's there - hell. he spent almost all of his Presidency there

Turkee, I hope you're feeling better and healing up.

It could be because Bush has a book coming out soon, its due out in November.

Here is a link to a news story of him talking about the book.

I didn't agree with the Iraq war and I wonder if he regrets it now.  But . . . I don't think he was entirely to blame.  He worked off of other people's findings.  Maybe he wanted it to be true but still . . . I don't think just a president can take us to war, it was voted on.  Saddam Hussein was a bad dude.  No doubt about that.  But I think the Iraq war was/is a mess.  I do think Bush is genuine though.  Just my little old opinion.

Good point swampcritter.  A book to sell would make sense.

I heard about this on KLove a few weeks ago...  I think it is funny...  I agree with others,  he was not great,  but Obama just looks like he is irritated all the time, and blames everyone else for things...

mami,  i love you girl,  but I'd rather him back then what we have now...  but agreed he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed-  but what does that say about the american people,  we put him in office twice, and then put obama there...  (althought I only voted for one of them (just the first time))...

Okay, I have to say this.  Bush may not have made the best choices at every turn, but he really wasn't "stupid".  You can not be stupid and go to the schools he did and rise to the level of president.  So, policy making may not have pleased everyone but he was not stupid in the way most people use that word.  Just my opinion.

I never saw/heard President Bush whining constantly about "what all he inherited" like Obama does because Bush was a man and not an arrogant "man child" like Obama is.  Obama knew exactly what he was going to "inherit", he still wanted the job, he got the job, now be man enough and DO the job or step down and let somebody else do it who CAN do the job.  Stop telling us over and over that you "inherited two wars", Obama KNEW two wars were going on strong when he applied for the job, he STILL wanted the job and I suggest he stop whining about it.

President Bush never told us "who" we should NOT listen to, what cable channel we should NOT watch as Obama is trying to dictate to us what we should watch and listen to, as Obama did numerous times on national TV telling us "don't watch FOX, don't listen to Limbaugh or Hannity".  This sounds like a dictator to me, we're still living in a "free" country, and therefore can watch and listen to whatever we please whether Obama likes it or not, we are adults.

President Bush never tried to bring down a cable channel like Obama tried to shut down FOX.

President Bush could take on criticism, Obama cannot, his arrogance can't take it.

I can't fully remember everything Bush has done. (I was still in middle school when he was elected in) And while I don't like the things he did that I do know, at this point I think a monkey in a suit would do better than Obama is. My fear is where the country is headed to, and if by some chance he got re-elected in, the country would do nothing but decline farther.

Obama does NOT care for everyone. obama cares for HIMSELF, and his plans. BUT he is just a token of the illumaniti to fulfill their plan.

Remember how he BOWED!! to our enemy's leader?

Remember how he has apologized to foreign countries for America?

Remember how he has now gotten our national debt in the trillions and trillions, and is growing everyday?

Remember how he blames ALL his problems on Bush? Bush inherited his own set of problems but did not ONE time blame ANY of them on Clinton. They are from years and years, and not just ONE man. obama needs to BE a man and quit blaming others. It is a decoy and people are falling for it, left and right. How long is he going to blame Bush for what obama did yesterday?

Remember how  he has set up  *czars*, thats CZAR, my fellow Americans, not secretaries or Attorney Generals?

Remember how this healthcare bill was not allowed to be fully and completely seen until it was voted in? The congressmen said that, repeatedly.

Remember how he is wanting to control (thats CONTROL), my fellow Americans, not LEAD?

Remember how he has been involved in a homosexual affair with Larry Sinclair? There has NEVER in the history been anyone say that about any other president.

Remember how he refuses to produce a REAL AUTHENTIC birth certificate?

Remember how there are many people that remember him being born in Africa?

Remember how there is not one person that can vouch for his presence at Columbia University?

The list goes on,

but the thing is, people are not wanting to hang on to the truths. They are hanging onto someone they want to BELIEVE is going to deliver them from all our troubles. Well, there is not a human being alive that is able to do that, and to believe that is like believing in Cinderella.
One day this chapter in the  book will close, but all our freedoms, the America that our forefathers fought for, and defended, (NOT APOLOGIZED for) will be gone.

obama is taking us straight into a one world government. If I wanted the government to control me, I would live in a socialist country. Which, really, is where we are so close to being, anyway.

All in all, I still say..........

God bless America.
America bless God.

How could anyone want Bush back? He started two wars based on personal vendettas, the Patriot Act was unconstitutional, the recession began under him. Government regulation is not Socialism and if you truly think that government assistance is Socialism, then forfeit your medicare and social security benefits.

My ancestors were in the Revolutionary War, the Civil War and Vietnam. I am a proud American. I just hate it when people are ill informed and think that progress is a bad thing. Our country's health care system was rated by the WHO as 37th after Lithuania or something, so we obviously need to do more to make this a better county for average Americans.

If you don't like living in America and our current president, then move to some place without a pesky functioning government, like Haiti or Nigeria.

I make my point by voting. I did not trash Bush during his presidency because that is disrespectful. I did not make up lies about him like people are doing about Obama. I think that if anyone has an issue with the president it should be based on facts. As Americans, your civic duty should be to write letters to your congressmen and politicians to express concerns over issues that are important to you, and to vote based on them. That's the only way to get things done. Also, be informed. That's very important.

Why have you decided that I do not contact my congressmen and politicians, and that I am not informed? And how would you know if I voted or not? I would appreciate it if you did not judge me based on what you think.

And another thing, I do not receive medicare or SS, but when/if I do, I will never receive the amount that I placed into that system.

A lot of comments and I will address the last one since it is the most recent...

Started 2 wars based on personal vendettas...I guess 9/11 never happened in the world you live in? And I guess you want to ignor Resolution 14.41 passed by the UN Security Council. Yes the US did have intelligence that proved to be wrong, but so did every other country in the Security Council. They did not just follow along they had there own intelligence that backed up our intelligence. Also the cease fire agreement was violated on a daily basis and any force taken by America was legal and justified.

The Patriot Act has been proven over and over again that it is consitiutional. A recession actually started under President Clinton. If you look back and the GNP, GDP and other factors they started to dip while President Clinton was in office and things really got bad after 9/11.

Government assistance in any form does have elements of socialism...now it does not make it bad because the government is here to serve the people but not by means of massive taxes to fund social programs that benefit a very small precentage of the population.

Progress is not bad, but it should not come at the expense of the people. Our health care system was not broke but needed to be reformed but universal healthcare is not/was not the answer.

"If you don't like living in America and our current president"-If you make a statement like this then why did you stay when President Bush was in office, clearly you are not a fan of his.

I think the billboard is great. I do miss President Bush, he has leadership, something Obama among other things is lacking. Do I agree with every move made by President Bush...no way because his spending for one thing was out of control, but for the most part he was a solid President who did what he thought was right for America. History will only decide his legacy and I hope not decided by a socialist America.

Vance,

9/11 was no reason to go to war with Iraq. Absolutely none and Bush knew it. He was trying to pay Saddam back for Bush SR, hence my use of the word vendetta. There were no weapons of mass destruction. It was used as an excuse to go to war with Iraq.

The deficit was balanced when Clinton left office. In March 2001, the U.S. economy went into recession for the first time in ten years, according to the National Bureau of Economic Research. Bush became president in January. It's an urban myth that a recession started under Clinton.

The Patriot Act eliminated the constitutionally required interplay between executive action, judicial decision and Congressional enactment. In 2007, A federal appeals court ruled that some portions of the Patriot Act were indeed unconstitutional.

@bobdylan,

I don't know how old you are, but you sound like one of the many young people who think that SS and medicare are "freebees".  Let me educate you on this one.  The "working" people paid into this system when they were young however, the government used some of that money to help pay for all the "medicaid" patients, some of them milking the system, some for Illegal Immigrants free healthcare, and the list goes on hoping that the people who paid in to SS for decades will croack by the time they are 65+, big surprise, people now a days live longer and are eligible for their SS they have paid into for decades, of course now the  government is short on money and now debates what to do with SS.  As for medicare that is not "free" either, a certain amount comes out of peoples SS every month.  If you think "medicare" is that great wait until you'll be on it and find out that more and more doctors either stop seing medicare patients or wont take any new medicare patients.  Since Obama announced his healthcare plan more and more doctors already stopped seing medicare patients.  If in doubt, do the research!

I agree with Peggy that you just assumed we don't write our Congressmen and Senators.  I've done this for decades, and also to our former and current Presidents.

From Clinton and Obama I never got an answer from their administration, not even an "automted letter".  However, I received two letters from President Bush, and no, they were not automated/generated letters.

I will find the info that supports my case for the recession.

Has the Supreme Court ruled that the Partiot Act as a whole or parts as unconstitutional? No they have not and until they do so it is consitutional.

"Veterans get wonderful benefits from the government too. I don't see anyone forfeiting their VA benefits or complaining about them".

Veterans DESERVE their benefits, every bit of it.  They served their country, some of them fought for their country, some of them died for their country.  They did not dudge the draft when the draft was still on, and now they "volunteer" to serve their country.

Every city has a recruiting office, and people had/have the choice to sign up, if they did/do they are ENTITLED to their benefits.

Don't even mention the VA benefits, your argument wont fly with me, its obvious you never were in the military or you would not make such an ignorant statement.

Barbarella,

I am noting the hypocrisy of some people when they complain about the government doing anything to help Americans, yet these same people do not demand that the government stop paying veteran benefits, SS benefits or Medicare. Of course the veterans are entitled to these benefits just as people are entitled to SS benefits and Medicare. It's just interesting to me that people pick and chose what aspects of the government that are acceptable and they complain about other aspects that would be just as beneficial as VA benefits or Medicare because of misinformation or political leanings. People love the government as long as it's helping them in particular, right?

I never said that Obama was the best president. I only encouraged everyone to use facts when they discuss him because it is silly to claim that he was born in Africa . It is odd to consider Bush the best president. I am not sure why you feel that way about him, but that's your opinion. I highly doubt that he will be remembered favorably. But what do I know? I just have a History degree and teach American History.

And also I'm not sure why you doubt that I am a female or who you think I am. You are not a very good sleuth because some of the only other comments I've posted on this board have to do with my ovaries.

CHECK WITH SNOPES.COM TO SEE THAT THIS LETTER IS FOR REAL.  THE LINK IS ON THE BOTTOM!

Subject: Open letter to obama that NYT refused to publish

Who would have thought, and yet many are thinking it.

By Lou Pritchett,   Procter & Gamble

A LETTER FROM A PROCTER  AND GAMBLE EXECUTIVE TO
THE PRESIDENT*

THE LAST SENTENCE IS THE  MOST CHILLING

Lou Pritchett is one of  corporate America 's true living legends- an
acclaimed author, dynamic teacher and one of the  world's highest
rated speakers. Successful corporate executives  everywhere recognize
him as the foremost leader in change management..  Lou changed the way
America does business by creating an audacious  concept that came to
be known as "partnering." Pritchett rose from soap  salesman to
Vice-President, Sales and Customer Development for  Procter and
Gamble and over the course of 36 years, made  corporate history.

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have  lived and unlike
any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I  know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for  your expensive
Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and  housing with no
visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative  years of youth
growing up in America and culturally you are not an  American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or  met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military  experience, thus
don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class',  always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you  have aligned
yourself with radical extremists who hate America   and you refuse to
publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see  America fail..

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the  'blame America '
crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a  European style
country where the government sector dominates  instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health  care system
with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to  responsibly
capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale  reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American  capitalist goose
that lays the golden egg which provides the highest  standard of
living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use  'extortion' tactics
against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party  shrinks from
challenging you on your wild and irresponsible  spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to  or even consider
opposing points of view from intelligent  people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you  are both
omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass  on everything
you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to  silence the
Limbaugh's, Hannitys, O'Reillys and Becks who offer  opposing,
conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over  governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second  term I will
probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

Lou Pritchett

This letter was sent to the NY Times but they never  acknowledged it.
Big  surprise. Since it hit the internet, however, it  has had over
500,000 hits. Keep it going. All that is necessary for evil to succeed
is that good men do nothing.. It's happening right  now.

If the the head of a corporation and a millionaire is afraid of the president we should all be, right? Haha! Do you only copy and paste other people's thoughts or do you think for yourself? The whole thing is a rant by the Lou Pritchett fellow and again it is short on FACTS. The entire thing has not one bit of real information in there, or any valid argument against the president.

Hey bobdylan,

Obviously you don't know me.  I've expressed my feelings about Obama and this administration many times.  When there is any news we like to post a Link so people can read it for themself, and its not only about Obama.

The letter above might not be "news" but it is interesting that the NYT refused to post it.  You, or anybody on this site did not have to read it, everybody has the free will to read my posts or skip them.

As why I do not comment about Hannity or Beck, this thread was about Bush's billboard, and I agree it got side tracked and ended up about Obama.

Hannity and Beck say it like it is, are not afraid to say it, and don'ty kiss a... like the MSM does.  This is my opinion, even though Obama said several times on national TV (I heard and saw him say it) not to listen to them, and not to watch FOX, typical dictator.   You've the right to your opinion.

This subject is getting to boring for me.  Find somebody else to argue with!

Margy,

Please don't let Glenn Beck teach you about our forefathers and the constitution. Go to the library and check out a book. To say that Glenn Beck does not lie is really amazing. It is really scary that you folks are so enamored with Beck. He, Olbermann and Limbaugh and the like are just entertainers. Don't rely on them for valid information, please. You have to inform yourself.

Glenn Beck, Rush and Hannity are really these peoples' heroes. That alone tells you all you need to know about the tremendous difficulty they have thinking for themselves. They know what those guys tell them and very little else.

As for the billboard, I'll be completely honest. I voted for Bush but was very disappointed in how he handled some things. I think we should have been pursing Osama more and not focusing as much on Sadaam and Iraq. I never felt right about that. There are plenty of countries with dictators and we can't run all of them out of their countries. I understand that we were told they were hiding weapons of mass destruction but I just felt like this was kind of a personal vendetta or something when we should have been focusing on getting Osama, the one who was responsible for the attack on America on September 11th. It gets me that we still haven't got that guy!

Bush was not perfect, no person is. But one thing is for sure, our country as a whole was very united when he was president. Remember how he pulled everyone together after our country was attacked inside our own borders? Remember how patriotic he was, and how we became very patriotic?

I hope and pray that nothing like that happens now. America is almost at a civil war type mentallity, thanks to the division of obama. But that is just a ploy. Remember the old saying Divide and conquer? Well he is doing a great job of dividing this great country. For what, the one world government to come in and conquer. That is the whole purpose of all this.

just remember divide and conquer.

I do worry how our country is going right now but I believe we are seeing prophecies from the bible about end times being fulfilled at a faster and faster rate right before our eyes. If anyone doubts they only have to do a study for themselves. It's a real eye opener. All these things we are seeing have to come to pass and we are seeing the signs more and more. We've got to keep our eyes on the truth. We cannot afford to allow ourselves to be deceived.
I do not fully trust any man, only the Lord my God.

I have entered the Twilight Zone, where people forget what happened in the past. If any of you are interested in History, you will see that nothing we are experiencing is unprecedented. You don't like Obama, therefore want to believe that he is some scary monster who is ruining YOUR country. Well, plenty of us felt that Bush was ruining the country, and plenty of people thought Reagan was, and Carter was, and Nixon was, etc. Instead of demonizing the president and making things up about him, be a part of the solution to the real problems at hand.

During the Civil War, the country was torn apart, people said the end was near because of the Biblical prophecies that were "coming true". Apparently, people will continue to think there are signs that prophecies are "being fulfilled". All of you conspiracy theorists are your own worst enemies. You look for the bad in people and perpetuate the division that you perceive in this country. Your heroes Beck and Hannity are perpetuating it as well, for ratings. How is that "patriotic"? Since you look to them for information instead of seeking it elsewhere, you are part of the problem.

We really need to come together in a positive way. If you want to be patriotic, make positive changes in this country instead of spreading misinformation and causing conflict because of your political leanings. What do you care about? Focus on that and be proactive. That would be the most patriotic thing you could do.

"The past doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes." Mark Twain

"If you look for the bad in people expecting to find it, you surely will" Abe Lincoln

"We really need to come together in a positive way."

How can we come together when all you insist on doing is insulting those of us that are opposed to obama?

If you really wanted us to come together in a positive way, then why not try some kindness and positive words as opposed to such negativity and lying about our personhood, and insulting us and our character when say things that you do not agree with.

You should really take your own advice.

Let's keep this to discussion, not insults.

Everyone's reading comprehension skills are fine, it's never appropriate to make accusations about someone in a public forum or journal, and just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make them wrong.  It is entirely possible to disagree with someone respectfully, and please remember that long after someone forgets what you've said, they will remember how you said it and how it made them feel.

I said WE, Peggy. I think we should all come together. It makes me sad that we Americans are always fighting one another about silly things. You are using the same tone I'm using in here. I have repeatedly urged you to seek facts about the things you are discussing. I don't think I've insulted you as a person.

I'm being opinionated just like you are, only it's not the same opinion you share so you find it insulting.

You are on numerous boards attacking the president and you have such such a negative and angry tone. I just thought if you were to turn that negative energy into positive energy, you could get a lot done with it.

Emily,

I am new here, and I apologize about my reading comprehension comment. The person I was talking to misunderstood my comment and VA benefits. She misread it completely and assumed I was somehow insulting veterans, and that is something I would never do. I will attempt to be more cordial in the future.

I LOVE the bumper sticker!!  I do miss President Bush.  He made some mistakes, yes, but he was also concerned with keeping us united as a country.
I am with the majority here, and I do not like Obama.  I think he is arrogant and into himself.  I think that he is against our military, and is into blaming everyone else for what is going on in America but himself.  I can't wait for 2011 to get here so we can vote for a new president.  I really hope Sara Palin runs for president.  YOU GO GIRL LOL

I do not mean any disrespect to ANYONE on this journal.  I do know that bobdylanfan is a woman named Holly.  She has posted on the ovarian cyst forum and seems to be a nice woman.  Keep in mind that everyone gets crazy when politics is brought up ;-)  I don't believe in insulting each other.  Lets just agree to disagree.

PS  I want to say that it annoys the HE** out of me that everyone says Obama is the first black president.  He is the first BIRACIAL president.  Let's not forget the is half white!!

by bobdylanfan, May 26, 2010
Yeah getting along is so boring, right?

No, seriously, a healthy debate is a good thing. We can't all have the same opinions. My issue is the lack of fact based reporting and the general misinformation out there. It's becoming an issue that is causing strife in our country. I would rather be debating about Obama's slow reaction to the oil spill or his ties to corporations than try to convince someone that Obama was not born in Kenya. There are intellectual debates to be had, so let's have them. The urban myths are getting in the way.

Fungirl,

I tend to get passionate about politics, so I should have stayed away from this thread, but the journal asked, "What do you think?" and I thought I would participate in this discussion. I came to Medhelp due to a health issue, not to argue with people.

Fungirl, thank you for your help with my issue and for bringing me back to my senses. To everyone else, I hope you aren't taking this conversation personally. We all have different opinions and I did not intend to insult anyone. I was just trying to provide facts on some topics here.I'm used to having open minded discussions about politics, and I forgot I was on a health forum for a little while.

by April2, May 26, 2010
bobdylanfan, my apologies if I misunderstood and thought you were someone else. Please forgive me. You just sounded a lot like someone else in your manner of speaking, etc. Again, my apologies. I try not to assume anything about people and certainly always try to see the best in all. So, since you're new here to MH, please accept my welcome on here.

As for the prophetic signs, you are right, people have thought for many years that we were close to the end but after studying scriptures and the prophecies for years it does appear we are seeing more of the signs than we ever have before. One of them being the Jews returning to their homeland, how people would turn their back on God and be deceived by those promising peace, to Europe coming together, which is the first step towards one world government. I would share more but I know it's a bit off topic, however, as a Christian I certainly find it all fascinating and truly believe the Lord is close to returning. All I know is I want to make sure I'm ready no matter when it happens.
One of the things we all need to be careful about is not to automatically believe or trust any one person, especially someone who has so much power. I see way too many people worshiping one man as a god who has come to take care of all their problems and that does not settle well with me. I willl never worship any man no matter what he promises.

Peggy,

http://www.statesman.com/opinion/chang-in-census-obama-officially-ignores-half-his-654012.html

Since Obama is half white and half black I wonder why he  put down on his Census form "black" as his race instead of "biracial" (see Link above).  Ignoring his white mother/relatives???  After all he threw his white grandmother who raised him since age 10 under the bus by  calling her a "typical white woman".

How comes his "white" relatives were never interviewed during the primaries???  Could it be they didn't want to lie for him but at the same time did not want to throw Obama under the bus??

I saw where a reporter followed his "white" great uncle somewhere in a parking lot or on a sidewalk.  The reporter asked him if he was proud that Obama was elected to become president, and the great uncle replied with "he is my late brother's grandson", end of story.  I mean he was telling the truth but did not answer the reporter's question.

I was born at night, but it was not last night, and I could tell that there was no love lost there.

Also, Obama's "white" third cousin who is a radiologist told FOX that he is against Obamacare.  When they asked him if he told Obama he said "no, he will tell his Congressmen while in Washington".  While in Washington, isn't that where Obama lives??? Yet he can't tell Obama, his cousin????   Very strange indeed!

I think its best that we all respect that any time we as Americans have the right to question the policies of the president and speak out against them. We also have the right to vote out of office any president who has not respected what we believe what we believe is right for America. I would think we should be thankful for these freedoms because many countries dont have them. I would reccomend a book "The Annotated U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence" because it states the specifics of why each amendment was passed and the exact reason for it and some of these amendments were to curtail the action of a specific president acting in a manner that was believed to be unconstitutional such as (even though I support many of his policies) F.D.R. being allowed to run for 4 terms. That is only one of many examples. I know many people are completely familar with all of this but some are not. People are not as powerless as they think and they have a right to speak their mind as they see fit and laws have been changed because of that and we should be thankful we have that right and act on it whenever we have concerns.

O.K. I can see that more than once sarcastic fun is made of "Kenya".

I wish you would direct your sarcasm where it belongs and ask the "officials" who claim that Obama was born in Kenya why they are claiming that.

Three seperate AFRICAN newspapers claim that Obama was born in Kenya.  This does not come from the National Enquirer even though they were right on about John Edwards.

A Kenyan official, James Orenga, claims that Obama was born in Kenya

Obama's grandmother Sarah claims that she was "present" at Obama's birth in Kenya.

Last but not least Michelle Obama said in 2007 "we went to Africa and also visited Barack's HOMELAND".

In 2008 Michelle Obama said "Barack the KENYAN".  Excuse me, but if he was born in Hawaii he is an AMERICAN and NOT a KENYAN.

All the above is in the Link below including Michelle Obama on video tape saying these things mentioned above.

If Obama was really born in Hawaii then I suggest his wife should not make statements like that.  The Kenyan official (read third paragraph) as well as three African newspapers should stop saying that Obama was born there.  You cannot blame people for having doubts after all Obama never showed his LONG form.

These statements came from an African official James Orenga, from three different African newspapers and from Michelle Obama, not from Larry Sinclair.  Even though if Obama were a "white" Republican the Left wing media would line up 24/7 to interview Sinclair whether they believed his story or not.

Okay, so he was bowing while he received a medal. That makes it all right.

He also held hands with and kissed the Saudi prince. If Obama did that, you guys would be freaking out.

http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f96/ShawnML2/George_W_Bush_Prince_Abdullah_kiss_.jpg

I've seen photos of Nixon, Eisenhower and numerous other presidents bowing as a sign of respect to other leaders. I think it would be arrogant of a president to visit another country and not honor their local customs. Many presidents have bowed, why do people hold Obama to a different standard than other presidents?

I actually think the way he keeps apologising for America is far worse than his bowing and scraping ...plus the way he is taking this country into socialism and beyond and even if folks dont think thats a bad thing what about all the money he keeps dishing out Billions to the Unions  pensions yesterday ..its fact ...google ...54 billion to Greece . Spain will be next how much shall we give them...

Yes he is definitely leading this country into a horrible future of Socialism. I really think he is going to enslave us all and make us bow to him 5 times a day. I think we should be giving all of our money to the banks and corporations instead of union workers and average Americans. I think that rich people and politicians should be the only people with access to affordable healthcare. Otherwise, lazy people on welfare and illegal immigrants will be healthy and we can't have that.  I also think Obama should give more tax cuts to the rich, like the cuts the rich got under Bush. What does Obama have against rich people? Why is he trying to help students get better loans for college? The best thing is for no one to get all uppity and go off to college. Why does he want young people to be able to get a good education? I think he's a horrible president. I wish he would go off to a ranch in Texas half of the year like our last president. I'd rather see Obama clearing brush with his dog like a good president would do.

Checkmate? Haha! I'm just trying to be a good patriotic American and insult the president. Can I get an invite to your next tea party? I can make some good signs. I'll try to put Socialism or Marxism on them, maybe draw a good Hitler mustache on Obama so I fit in with everyone.

I don't like him apologizing for America either. He does seem rather arrogant and seems to care more for himself than America. He sure is making a lot of changes real fast, changes that I'm just not sure is in the best interest of our country. This country was founded on principles that he seems to want to change so that does bother a lot of people. I think the socialism is a very real concern but again, I also think all these things have to come to pass before my Lord returns. I'm just keeping my eyes on Jesus, not Obama.

i think that i read that a couple of local business put this up. I like it.  I miss having a president that is proud of our country, not apologizing, and one that respects all life. Oh well, maybe in 2 years.

Could someone give me an example of Obama apologizing? What was he apologizing for and to whom was he apologizing?

Bush was no orator but he was a smart man.  Look at the degrees he EARNED.  A feat that Al Gore could never achieve.
He didn't lie to us about Saddam.  All the intelligence agencies in the world were all saying the same thing.  He got bad information.  That's being mistaken.  That's not lying.  Bush kept us strong and safe.

When I have to think about the apologist, blame everyone else but me in office now, there's no comparison.  I keep waiting for him to apologize to Germany and Japan for fighting them in WWII.  God yes, I miss Bush.

The way that obama has split up our nation? I just shudder to think what would come of us if we had another attack like 9-11. It would open the door for the radical muslims to just walk in and take over.

obama has not worked FOR America. He has worked AGAINST America.

I think it all coming out now, many Americans have eyes wide open the polls tell the story , this latest scandal sounds like its Impeachable /against the law...we are certainly living in extrordinary times ...The whole thing about him is something out of a movie.... a horror movie ...a Lot of Dems seeing it now but the hard line left keep denying everything they can ...I doubt they ever loved America anyway ...What makes me laugh is they say its lies and a smear campaign or a favorite is misinfromation even when the facts are out there and can be read in the papers now and also on the internet ...
