Well here I am again with the exact same symptoms I had last August. Never got a diagnosis as usual. It started over a week ago. I came home tired from work went to lay down and noticed when I laid on my back the room was spinning. Dizziness is a common symptom for me so I just thought if i took a nap It would go away. I rolled over and fell asleep for a few hours woke up with severe vertigo. I felt horrible my heart rate was up and It was hard for me to walk. Felt like something was pushing me forward or like I was going to fall over. I ate a light dinner and went to watch some fireworks. I noticed while sitting down I felt like i was going to fall over from the dizziness. Later that night the vertigo got worse kept feeling like the room was spinning I couldn't lay on my back or bend over. I got real nauseated and started dry heaving a few times thru out the night. I never was able to sleep while laying down my bed felt like a boat rocking and when i walked to the bathroom the room looked like it was swaying. By the time it was morning I drank some water and threw it up with some stomach acid the toilet looked like it was shaking. I eventually started feeling better and was able to take a nap and go out to run errands. I noticed after that I had this rash on my arms with small bumps that weren't to noticeable but had a burning itch and i could feel them. A week before I got these itchy red bumps on my legs that looked like bug bites but they started spreading and looked more like cuts and would break open when i scratched them. On Wednesday of last week I decided to go to Urgent Care over my rash's. My bp was 155/100 and heart rate was 122 sitting they didn't seem concerned. The doctor said my legs were poison ivy and my arms she wasn't sure but it wasn't poison ivy. She gave me oral steroids and steroid cream for 5 days. Over the weekend I started feeling sick again. The vertigo came back along with the nausea, dry heaving, felt weak, head pressure, heart palpation's, a lot of burping, and anxiety with depression. I went to Walmart late Sunday night the line was very long with only one register open. I started sweating really bad and could feel my heart pounding/racing. They finally opened another register I had 2 people go in front of me. By then my heart rate and sweating got a LOT worse I thought i was going to faint. On top of it the cashier was slow and my card wasn't working. By the time I got home and laid down my heart rate and blood pressure was good. I figured it could of been the steroids and I started panicking worried I would faint at the register making my heart pound even harder. I also suspect I have POTS but I cant get doctors to give me the Tilt Test to confirm it. I do take metotprolol to help with my tachycardia when I stand. I developed allergy's last year after I got these same symptoms which I have been told could be Mast Cell but that's another diagnosis I have yet to confirm. I have been taking Zyrtec daily since I got these similar symptoms last August along with vitamin D and B12 since I have been deficient. Now that I'm dealing with vertigo/dizziness, the vertigo lately has been feeling like I'm spinning instead or like my head is vibrating with pressure, feeling off balance, nausea, and burping weather i eat or not. I went back to my doctor yesterday. She did lab work and said my right ear has some slight fluid in it which is what they said last year as well. I don't understand why I have fluid in my ear if I'm taking allergy meds. On my lab work my doctor said my potassium yet again was low which has been the last few times its been checked. She said my thyroids and everything else was ok. They tested my CBC, Complete met panel, and thyroid. my doctor wants me to retest my potassium next week she prescribed me some potassium pills and said my magnesium might be low as well. I don't think low potassium would have anything to do with my vertigo but I sure hope they figure this out. I asked If i needed to be referred somewhere or get an MRI on my head she said not right now just wait and see what my blood work shows after its retested. I don't want this to happen every summer and have to be sick in bed for weeks just getting blown off by doctors. I cant do much when I get like this walking/ standing is hard and I feel pretty sick so laying down usually eases my symptoms during the day. I tend to get a lot worse at night so I cant really sleep when I do I have been waking up every hour as a reminder that I feel awful. I hope all of this gets resolved for the sake of my sanity. I can only hope and pray I get some answers soon. Thanks for reading!
