See, the harder life is for us the more we think it's unfair. And those are the roots of misery. But in reality, we have the potential to turn all the struggle we face into beauty. Because struggle is the only thing that makes us beautiful. If we don't have any struggle in life, then we have no beauty, and this is what Thich Nhat Hanh means by, "the goodness of suffering". This is what I mean by, "love is made on the background of pain".

The reason why life is fair, is because all the suffering we go through is either self-induced and teaching us a lesson in life, or it is inevitable, and creating beauty within us. Either way, suffering is making us more beautiful.

The only reason why we think life is unfair, is because we haven't yet learned the lessons it is trying to teach us!

How do you deal with the impurities of other people? Answer: You remind them of how great it is to be pure by being pure yourself.

Attractiveness is having the ability to admit your suffering, along with how much suffering you have to admit.

So what if they're not willing to learn? Realize you are not them, and that all the suffering you face because of it only makes you more beautiful.

struggle brings serenity

Ok, I'm going to try and explain something that is at the heart of my thinking, and something that I was seeing more clearly this morning I believe. I see it as a holoistic and complete understanding of how life works. But I like to see it as a feeling and not a philosophy.

If we can understand that hardship makes us beautiful, then we will put ourselves into a position where we struggle. I know this sounds counter-intuitive to survival, but what made me realize this a little more clearly is the flooding in VT from hurricane Irene just recently. No-one died, and I was distantly affected (my driveway got washed out), but I guess it just made me realize how that natural disaster was so powerful that it showed how vulnerable we are, or how powerful nature is.. with the waters so hi and rushing through the earth. But after had passed, the next days when the waters were settling down, showed the remains of damaged roads, roads closed, new rivers, the rivers were different, and the banks of the rivers were washed down. It actually brought me a small amount of serenity. It's quite beautiful, and especially after watching a video of damage scenes throughout Vermont, accompanied with VERY beautiful music, it reminded me of OUR ROOTS.

But the point is is that it only nurtures my thinking on how hardship makes us appreciative, peaceful, beautiful. So, on with the point. So, if we put ourselves in a position where we struggle, we become appreciative of life. And isn't all of our fear and concerns all linked to our perception on how unfair and ugly life is??!!  So, if we can earn life and happiness by putting ourselves into a position of struggle, we will feel serenity, love and happiness. But, it's not like we should try to expose ourselves to inevitable and natural disasters, not at all. So again, it may seem like a contradiction so let me shed light on this. We can put ourselves in a position where we struggle and be more appreciative of life, by simply being responsible, working hard. In other words, we are motivated to work hard and struggle if we can realize that this is what will make life a beautiful place. And as far as natural disaster and inevitable hardship goes, well we shouldn't deny that either. We shouldn't create it, but we shouldn't deny it. This is because if we didn't create it then it happened to us, and if we have deeply ingrained in our awareness that struggle is what makes us beautiful, well, we won't deny it, we wont allow ANY adversity that we aren't the cause of to make us ugly, to make us fearful, hateful, angry, desperate, or emotionally hurt. We will understand that ALL adversity/hardship that we aren't the cause of  can only make us more beautiful, and with this awareness we can be so grateful of the air we breath, the food we eat, and the love that is earned and felt when we are conditioned like this.

And once we are beautiful ourself, and working hard and doing a purposful job/livlihood, and being frugal and modest with our consumption, and simply being alive and grateful, THEN we will be able to understand that anyone who is not living this virtue, living life, is suffering. And so, we won't be affected by their misery and hurtfulness.. because, we know that 1) you can show them that the more they hurt you, the more beautiful they are actually making you.. because ALL adversity that we aren't to blame for ONLY makes us more beautiful. And at the same time, you can look at them with a serious, honest, optimistic eye, and maybe even sinsere smile, and say to them, to yourself, "You can be happy, all you have to do is be responsible, and because I know you are suffering from your own misery, and that that is why you are trying to hurt me, I am not affected by you, I only have optimism because I know that all you need to do to be as happy and as beautiful as me, is be responsible, and that is not hard, and that is your choice.

And if you communicate this correctly, they may be stubborn, but with persistence, you WILL show them that happiness is possible, and suddenly, transformation begins to happen.. because EVERYONE wants to be beautiful and happy.. and, everyone can.

It's that simple.  :)

You should give me another chance. And then another chance after that. And then another, and another, until you figure out who i really am.
