Went to ER Friday night, thought I was in labor. I had a constant abdominal and back ache. Then my stomach would get real hard after I would feel a very intense pain on my right side. They were about 18-20 minutes apart. Real scary. They looked in at baby, very active lil squirt. Kept moving so much made it hard for the tech to find the heart fluttering. Seeing baby and hearing HB made me feel better that baby was doing just fine. Should have asked what the gender was, but was still worried and not thinking cause I was still in pain. Doc checked my cervix and it was closed. They then catheterized me to get a pee sample to make sure I didn't have a kidney infection. Since, no kidney infection, not bleeding, baby very active with good HB, they said braxton hicks. I am getting them every night since Friday though. I was reading on the web that they are more common when the baby is ultra active. I do notice that baby is more active in the afternoon, so, that is quite possibly what is causing the BH. Sure hope so at this point, I am only 18 weeks and I have to wait at least another 2-6 weeks before I can go into labor and have any chance of the baby surviving. Of course, my big fear right now is that I will go into labor early like my sister did at 20 weeks. He is doing good though. Her doctor told her that David Benjamin may get to come home September 1st. That would be really neat.
