Went to a free introductory exercise Bootcamp that my hair salon sponsored today. It was billed as "beginner", but it was brutal. A combo of aerobics & body weight resistance training: planks, push-ups, marching/jogging in place, squats, lunges, crunches & "V-ups", burpees*,"walkovers" (where you hold yourself in a plank or push-up position and "walk" your hands to one side then the other & back. I could only do 1/3 of what was asked...spent about 20 of the 45 minutes actually exercising, the other 25 panting & resting. I was humiliated to be so out of shape, especially in front of others who were quite fit. If I can figure out the finances, however, I will complete the 8 week, twice a week bootcamp. If it doesn't kill me, I should make a lot of fitness (and hopefully weight loss gains) by the end of the 8 weeks.
