Thanks for making this forum available. I have read some of the post and responses, very imformative.
I have had minor to severe back pain for many years, probably due to my work as it always involved heavy
lifting. About July of last year 2007 I got out of bed and had this severe pain in my right hip and it shot
down my leg and to the lower calf which had a bad burning sensation. Then my foot went numd. My
Sister had some vicodin so I took one and it slowed the pain. Almost every day since then when I awaken
around 600:AM I have the start of a similar ache in my hip while still laying down. Once I get up the pain
emediatly runs down my leg and to my foot, where some days I can hardly stand. I have started taking
4 Ibouprohpens 200mg soon as I get up. It then takes about a 1/2 hour for the pain to slow down. After that
I am able to function all day whit only a slight tinge of pain. This happens every morning like clock work.
My matress is only 2 years old and seems to be comfortable, so I don't think it is that. I have read some
of your posts and it sounds like it may be the sciatica nerve. I have a general practioner for a doctor, He
just dosen't seem to be knolwegable enough to get to the root of my ills.
