Grrrr..I Don't need STRESS right now!

Oct 03, 2010 - 3 comments

So, I'm supposed to be in my fertile window, and I've been trying to relax and decrease stress, and BAM! Friday night as we are heading out to the football game, there is water all over the garage floor! NICE! Our water heater died, and leaked all over, so now we have to replace it. Great, just what I need right now. So yesterday we go out to get a new one, the sales lady says installation will be $298 plus you need a permit which is another $200. WTF?? The water heater itself is $388 not including tax, so you're telling me installation cost more than the appliance itself? Forget that! We'll install it ourselves! So that's what we'll be doing the rest of this weekend! So we purchase the water heater, take it home, and unload it, now we have to remove the old one. Well, first we have to finish draining what water is left in it, then remove it. So, we manage without any major incidences, and the platform is all wet, so we dry up as much as we can set up the portable heater to fan it and get it to dry faster. This was all good and it was finally drying enough to be able to put the new one in. So far so good! Well, we go inside and DH says he's gonna take a shower (cold, of course) and turns on the water and the pressure is so low he says forget it. So we go to my moms house to take our showers and as we go out the garage door, the damn pressure in the pipes must have pushed any remaining water out and now there is water all over the place and the platform is soaked and we are back to square one! Now we have to start the drying process all over again, and wait until Sunday (today) to finish! That's if we don't have to replace the platform first! UGH! And who knows how long it's gonna take to even install the new one! Needless to say, I did not sleep well, I tossed and turned, I woke up every hour, and then it started raining this morning! It was 4:45 a.m. when I took my temp, way earlier than usual, so I know my temperature this morning is not very accurate, so I now I don't even know if I actually ovulated yet or not. I'd like to think so, but now I have to wait a couple more days to see if my temps are still up. DH is worn out, says not sure if he can perform today or not, so we may have to rely on whats "in there" from the the last 3 days. Arrrrgh! I really wanted this to be our month, and I didn't want to have to do another round of Clomid, and now I'm stressing, and I know that's not good for me right now, but I can't help it!! I sure hope we can get this water heater in today without many problems. I NEED A DRINK!!

[email protected] I need a drink!!
AWww  Calm Dow, take a long, deep breath!!   Installing a water heater isn't that big of a deal. Hubby did ours and my dad has done theirs. It is a lil time consuming if it's the first time. :) I'm sure everything will be just fine.   I know it's all stressful right now, my gosh just TTC alone is a headache!  Sorry about everything else going wrong.  Seems like a damn dominoe effect huh? I HATE when that happens.  It WILL get better, I promise!
Have you ever thought about trying to calculate your temp?  Like if you normally temp at 7:30 am like I do..this morning I temp'd at 6 and got 97.4 so that would make my "usual" temp 97.7.  It's like .05 for every 30 min. I think, something like that! lol.  Not sure if you've heard of that or if you're even interested in trying. Just thought I'd mention it. :)   I wished I would hurry up and ovulate already. I HATE this!

Have you ever seen the movie "Bad Boys" ?  With Will Smith and Martin Lawerence?   WOOSAHH!!  :P
I hope everything gets better soon!!  SSBD !! :D Take Care Hun! :)

Thanks Des! You were right, everything worked out fine. We finally got the water heater installed. Hardest part was soldering the copper pipes for the pressure release valve, but it only took two attempts, and it we got it done, and it looks professional!! LOL!
Yeah, the domino effect, never fails. It's always something! Now I have to wait and see if I get another positive OPK, apparently the first one was too early and it was a false positive. I guess the clomid really does delay ovulation.
I've never tried to temp adjuster, I wonder if it is accurate? Where did you learn about it? Maybe I should try, but then again, I feel  like I'm doing too much already and adding one more thing will just drive me bonkers!
I don't think I've seen "Bad Boys", is it good? whats it about?  ~ Well, I hope we both ovulate soon so we can be in the TWW together again! It's nice to have the TWW buddy! Sending you lots of SSBD, and thanks for being there when I was so stressed out! It really helps when someone who understands what we go through is there to help us stay positive and encourage us! Thanks again Sista!

YAY!! Glad it worked out and impressed it looks professional!  :P   GAH at clomid being confusing with O day.  Did they say when you're "suppose " ovulate while taking that?  Is there a certain time frame when taking that?
I've heard several women talking about the temp adjuster. I'm not sure if it's accurate or not but I've been doing that for about 3 weeks now and my temps don't look so crazy lol.  They're not drastically up and down.  Kinda together really.
I just use this site.  http://www. when my baby. com/ basal body temperature.php     No spaces though( just in case they blank it out).  I just make a note of when I use it so I can go back to it the next month and see how things compare.  Hope that helps you!  I use it because I rarely get up at the same time. Hubby leaves for work at 5:30, I like to sleep a little later so I never temp at the same time EXACTLY. Always like an hr later or earlier. PLUS I can't hardly sleep at night because I'm such a light sleeper. I LOVE animals, don't get me wrong but the neighbors have a dog that HOWLS constantly.  UGH THAT drives ME BONKERS! :P

I was asking about Bad Boys because will smith and martin lawerence are part of the FBI people and their captain is always stressing so they'd go in to tell him something and he's always sitting there rubbing his earlobes and says " woosaahh".  It' cute!  Thought you'd might like it and laugh! :D

It would be wonderful to be in the 2WW with you again . :P  I hope I O soon. I've been getting cramp and pains. Ovaries and lower back plus been having EWCM for 3 days now.  OPK's showing negative so in time I guess. Hopefully SOON! lol.  Take Care Hun.  Stay positive!  That's what we're here for, eachother! ;)    SSBD!!
