Cole's schedule for the day. Just sharing!!!

Nov 14, 2010 - 10 comments

Okay so this is Cole's schedule. Just wanted to share. to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong, I feel confident. but I'm a first time mother, so sometimes I make mistakes.

He is 6 months old by the way!

9am- Wake up, has oatmeal with fruit in it, and a 5 oz bottle
12pm-Lunch, half of a veggie 5 oz bottle
About half hour-hour nap!
3pm-Snack, 6 oz bottle
About a 15 minute-half hour nap
6pm-Dinner, other half of veggie, 5 oz bottle
SOMETIMES a half hour nap lol
9pm- Bedtime, Rice cereal with fruit in it, 5 oz bottle

Sleeps about 10 hours and is up at 9 am the next morning!

Sometimes those times are not consistent, but its normally that time or a quarter after, once and a great while half hour after.  but he is pretty consistent.

Sometimes he doesn't finish all of his bottle, but this just started this week, so im thinking its just a growing phase or something.. cause he is already getting better.

Any input would be nice if Im  missing something.

Hey girl.. You seem to have it all under control.
I just started my 6month old on solids and he simply doesn't want to have any thing to do with food!! lol!!
He spits every thing right out. So far he's getting only 2meals but doesn't take more than a couple of baby spoonfulls each meal. I'm scared he won't gain enough weight.
What are you diving him for snacks? I am still experimenting to find if there's *any thing* he'll actually like to eat. So far only thing he liked was bananas but that made him horribly constipated for 3days so that's out of his diet for the moment.

Good luck on Cole turning 6months!!!

I had to giggle at your comment about "doing something wrong".  Honey, unless you are dangling him over the balcony by his feet, not feeding him or changing him, or not loving him, you are doing everything RIGHT!  Way to go...sounds like a great schedule to me.  Your 6 month old is doing better with his solids then my 9 month old.  If I give him 3 meals a day he doesn't drink enough formula.  You seem to have a really great ratio down.  Way to go!!!!

Ladybug: What do u mean by snacks? I dont give him anything but veggies oatmeal and Rice cereal and formula.  he gets a couple baby spoon fulls of baby food fruit mixed in with his oatmeal and Cereal.  and he is 6 months old now, turned 6 months on the 11th!!!  and aww im sure he will get into taking more solids.. Cole was so into it, He watches me and DB eat all the time, and just glares at us.. lol... I know he wants what we want lol.. I dont plan on giving him anything that we eat until about 9 months or so.

Adgal: LOL I know but sometimes I worry...  Aww Its so crazy how different every baby is.  Cole eats 4 meals a day and 5 bottles!! hes such a good boy, but i know it will change soon!!!

Aww thanks cassandra, I try to be the best mommy around!! lol.. which around here isnt hard to beat it seems, parents are just getting worse and worse in the state of Michigan.    But i know if I heard a girl say she would dangle her baby out the window, id dangle her out the window just for saying it!

You're doing great, girl!  Having a schedule is sooo helpful!  Even though, as a mom, you've still gotta be flexible, having a schedule makes life much easier--- on mom AND baby!

Sorry.. when you said 3pm snack, bottle; I understood it as snack plus a bottle.

sounds great... gotta say though, the only thing that really stood out to me was the 2 *short* naps. He's sleeping well at night, so it's probably fine for him. But it must be rough for you not to have more quiet time to get stuff done around the house!

Oh Trust me, I know, I would give anything for him to take longer naps in the day, ive tried everything, to keeping the tv on so he knows im still here or so its the same environment, and ive also tried turning the tv off and keeping it dead quiet the longest he will sleep is maybe an hour.  Hes been like that for like 3 months now.. its like he just decided one day that he dont wanna sleep during the day anymore lol... but he does sleep good at night.. and hes pretty good and sitting in his walker or playing on the floor so I can get stuff done during the day, and let me have my Computer time lol
