Why I quit

Nov 18, 2010 - 3 comments

Some people quit because they run out.  Some people quit because their doctor cut them off.  I quit because I wanted to.  I feel good about that.  I'm gonna toot my own horn.  Yay for me.  6 weeks up in two days.

"I feel like giving up." How often have we heard that tune played over and over. No matter how hard it is and how much pain it brings, hanging on and continuing to push on has a reward that can only be imagined until it happens. It's easy to give up. The true test of your strength is not giving up but pushing on no matter how many times you fall. Every step ypu manage to take forward is a step closer to who you once were. Think of what once was and how delicious it will be to be there once again. Those who have plodded on inspite of all the pitfalls can tell you how they swelled with pride at the fanatastic, "Welcome home," they received from a loved one or a friend and family.. What does being free mean to you? You are the only one who has the true power to strive and conquer. Many will do their best to help you, professionals will use their medical knowhow, but when it comes down to the nuts and bolts of it all it is you who has to bdredge up the courage and the wherewithall to take the journey. No one can do it for you. It's a lonesome road but one worth travelling. Ask that person in your mirror what he/she really thinks down deep inside.
