thoracic back pain

No longer anemic but have a vit D deficiency... still have pvc's & now also have pac's & svt's & on Toporol XL although it doesn't seem to help control them but I'm managing with them... thyroid seems to be under control last year or so....

Now for back:  I've seen two local neurosurgeons for my thoracic spine complications as well as to Vanderbilt University for a specialist in that area. I've learned a little bit from every doctor I've seen till I've pieced most of the puzzle pieces together. So I have a total of 7 herniated discs with the worst ones being in the thoracic spine (4 of them there) and two are extremely bad at t4-t5 & t7-t8 (extruded into spinal canal & deforming thecal sac). Also have so many micro fractures throughout the throacic spine that Vanderbilt specialist said he couldn't even count them all. I have 4-5 schmorls nodes, osteoarthritis, degenerative disc disease, as well as scoliosis.

I've had to give up all the fitness classes I teach except just leading dance troupe. I was told I should never do that stuff again due to the condition of my spine. I also took 2 months off to try to heal the fractures & herniations. I believe the fractures & smaller herniations have gotten somewhat better but the herniations at t4-t5 &t7-t8 & the bad fracture at t10 have only gotten worse. The pain in the thoracic is so severe that it interferes with my everyday functioning often to the point of throwing up, tears, or unable to get out of bed. I have 'attack's of pain that wraps around my ribcage that hurt so bad that I can't hardly breathe, I have numbness, and it has begun to affect my bladder. Doctors are reluctant to operate since it's so dangerous in the thoracic plus with the other damage to other parts of my spine they are not sure it will not just make things worse. The Laser Spine Ctr in FL have agreed to operate on the t7-t8 but my doctor here is afraid for me to do it (plus it will cost me $10,000) so I don't know if I should go that route. I've tried everything there is that I know about including epidural injections, facet joint injections, physical therapy, I have an inversion table I use regularly, get massages, tried accupuncture, bio-feedback, you name it. I'm at my wits end with pain... not sure what's going to happen now.
