Taylors teeth

Feb 04, 2011 - 3 comments

I only have a few minutes so this will be brief but its something I have been worried about for awhile now. So Taylor has 6 teeth. She had all 6 teeth before her 1st birthday. She will be 18 months on the 8th and has yet to get anymore. Now I know all kids are diffrent but my 3 boys had most of their teeth before a year and every tooth that came after was quick. Like 2 a month or so. I asked the doctor when I brought her in for her 12 month check up at 15 months (alittle late I know) and he wasnt worried because her head was growing well. Huh?? I dont get what the two have to do with each other and by well he meant her head has been consitant in the 97th%. She has a big brain:)
Anyone eles have children that have just stopped getting teeth?? I mean its been over 6 months now and nothing.

My daughter is 15 months and got her teeth up till one year old. She has eight teeth (I think or maybe 7) she hasn't gotten anymore since she was 12 months. Sometimes I do think maybe she should have more because of other moms I have talked to but I guess every baby is different. If your doctor isn't concerned then it probably isn't a problem. Has she every been to the dentist? Or is it still to early? I'm sure everything is fine.

no she hasnt been to a dentist but I think they might be more helpful than her dink of a doctor. She is also a climber. She has had her share of busted mouthsalready:( Im afraid she may have done some serious damage:( The gummy part between the two top teeth has been pushed up at least twice that I know of too.
Thanks for your rely, I just dont think its normal for the gap between teeth to be so wide.

I would take her to a dentist then. I would assume they are better at looking at younger teeth and gums.
