Slower Rate

Mar 24, 2011 - 2 comments

I started this tracker because I wanted to use it to help me lower my heart rate but I don't think that will be possible because of the Hashimoto's which increases heart rate. I can only hope that when the time comes I'll be healthy enough and strong enough to survive.

when my hr is too high, i skip a dose of synthroid. also, you should see a cardiologist just in case. i did and he prescribed a beta-blocker which helps during the "attacks". i also have cervical cord edema bc of the Hashi and now have some torn cervical discs and i'm taking meds for inflammation. i think the cervical problem also affects the nerves to the heart.

When I first saw my GP he had me wear a halter and he said that everything came out ok trouble is my heart rate is usually around 85 to 120 and I found out that it was because of my thyroid but I still want to slow it down because it doesn't take much to raise it. So I bought a ECG monitor of my own I was hoping I could use it in some way to help me lower it. I was also hoping that the synthetic T4 would slow it down but it's turning out not to be the case, so I'm going to try Desiccated Thyroid I hope it'll work I'm tired of being symptomatic.

Stay Heathy
