We've had some encouraging signs the past few days with Lexi.  Atleast to me they are encouraging.  For one, she seems to be walking somewhat better.  Not using her arms as much for balance.  She also yelled NO at her big sister several times on Saturday then said and waved bye bye to me yesterday.  She has also been saying Hi when someone enters the house or the phone rings.

It's funny, my mom commented that I'm probably the only mom around that got excited to hear my daughter utter the words No.

Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!  We have 3 appointments next week (2 with early intervention and 1 with the neurologist).

Makes you feel better now she is progressing with her speech and yelling at her big sister sounds a good progression LOL I can see you would get excited at every word she says ..be interesting to see what the professionals have to say ..glad shes coming along ..marg

I am quite curious myself!  I really do wonder how much of her delays (atleast with speech and fine motor skills) have to do with the problem with her eyes.  We have been doing some therapy on our own with her for her eyes.

That's good any exercises/therapy must help and its good for her , I always found that children do respond to talking, exercising., music/dancing and kind of 'thereputic' input from parents ,teachers and adults ,more than being pumped full of meds with side effects .,I do appreciate that there are times when meds do have to be used ,I am more inclined to try other means to help our children .You are doing well.
