Welcome to medhelp, are you on hypothyroid treatment currently? i think all shorts of your problem are pertaining to hypothyroidism. thyroid hormone is essential for life.it controls mdtabolic process of each and every organ.lack of thyroid hormone slows down metabolic process and renders a vital organ malfunctioning to totally non functioning, also causing cognitive dysfunction, memory loss, intelectual deterioration and so so.urgentlly consult a endocrinologist    have anciliary    investigation into cause of it  and get treated with synthetic thyroid hormone analouge.

I was first dx back in March 1998 for a year or so was treated...other doctors say my thyroid is fine even though they haven't tests Ft3 or Ft4 until this year...primary doesn't want me on meds because it may put me in AFib but I'm going to go to a Endo in the next few weeks.

I'm wondering what part my untreated hypo has played a part in my system issues & heart problems and what effect it had on my arrhythmia's making me have dangerous arrhythmia's...here's an aritcle someone gave me http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2693545/ The Effects of L-thyroxine Treatment on QT Dispersion in Primary Hypothyroidism

That article appears to me to show a positive effect on heart conditions. i was treated by a cardio who put me on amiodarone for 15 months without thyroid testing. Finally my TSH reached 38. It was brought to normal after three months L_-_thyroxine . IFor one year I took differing doses of Levo -T for six weeks and tested it. There was very little differrence in results. Finally after three months without the medicine my TSH crept up to more than 5. I saw an endo and he put me on a maintenance dose of 75mcg/day. Through these trials my FreeT3 was always and still is a little low. I had   stent put in three years ago and am still a symptom- prone cardiac patient. But the cardios have never approached the thyroid question with anything like the detail in the article. It's all confusing.  How are you now? I hope this finds you
