casey anthony trial

May 24, 2011 - 16 comments

so iw as watching the news and now the story took a sudden turn....they are saying Caylee Anthony drowned in the family's swimming pool on June 16, 2008, a month before she was reported missing and charges of incest, claims that the man who found the girl's body put it there, and that Casey Anthony faked having a job and a nanny for two years while living with her parents

How Casey Anthony could go for a month without reporting her daughter missing?????

"How in the world can a mother wait 30 days before ever reporting her child missing? That's insane, that's bizarre... The answer is actually relatively simple. She never was missing," Baez said (her lawyer). "Caylee Anthony died on June 16, 2008 when she drowned in her family's swimming pool."

Baez also claimed that Casey Anthony's father, George Anthony, found the body in the backyard pool and indicated that he helped dispose of the body. The defense lawyer even suggested George Anthony planted evidence to implicate his daughter and deflect suspicion from himself.

"On June 16, 2008, after Caylee died, Casey did what she's been doing all her life, hiding her pain, going into that dark corner and pretending that she does not live in the situation that she's living in... it all began when Casey was 8 years old and her father came into her room and began to touch her inappropriately and it escalated," Baez said

this story has just gone crazy!....is she now going to be free of chages because her father molested her?....even tho he denies everything, and says the drowning is also not true......even if the baby drowned, it should have been reported, these sick sick people went and got rid of her body and thought they would get away with it.....so sooo sad

the whole story

There is absolutely nothing about this whole case that makes any sense whatsover.  That poor poor little baby.  It was always so disturbing, but I have to admit that since becoming a mom myself it hits me even harder.  I just cannot imagine any of this.  Molested, not molested....I don't care what the circumstances of her life are or have been.  Even if it truly was an accident.  That so called mother does not deserve to be allowed to ever have her freedom again.  And anyone that helped her should get exactly what she should get.  It just sickens and disgusts me from beginning to end.  That poor innocent little girl.

If I remember right, they incorporated the death penalty if convicted. 3 years after the fact is the trial and all they need to do is get one jurer to doubt. Much like politics it seems. Doesnt matter what the truth is as long as you can cast doubt on that truth. Wanna bet she gets off just like OJ?

It will be interesting to learn why she was all duct taped up if she simply drowned eh? Or why no one simply called the police? Im not buying it but I bet they got one stupid jurer out of all that bunch.

i said the SAME THING TEKO!!!!!.......everyone knows she did it, but the evidence just dont make sense....i bet she gets off too......

they are saying she was ducked taped by the grandfather, who wanted to cover up his own butt because he was molesting her. and they saying if he made it look like casey did it then the fire wouldnt be put on him

alleged that after pulling Caylee from the pool, George Anthony screamed at Casey Anthony, "Look what you've done. Your mother will never forgive you. You'll go to jail for the rest of your life." The defense lawyer claimed George Anthony attempted to make his daughter look guilty to stop the public from finding out about his alleged sexual molestation of Casey Anthony

The defense said that Casey Anthony isn't a murderer and that she did not hide Caylee's body. Instead, they said that Roy Kronk, the meter reader who discovered Caylee's remains, tampered with the toddler's remains

wtf???.....what a mess!
i totally agree with you adgal, dont matter if she was molested or not, but if it was JUST an accident then as her mother she should have called for help.....that poor baby wasnt reported missing for a month!

Im just not buying it. 3 years after the fact before it went to trial? Not to mention that casey was in party mode for what 30 days? With pics to prove it? This girl was out having the time of her life for someone who just lost a child. She sure wasnt acting like a mom or a girl tht had been molested by her dad either for that matter. Casey just does not strike me as the type of personality to keep her mouth shut about being molested. She comes across to me as someone who does what she wants, when she wants, and has no problem being verbal about it either. I see her as having a temper and throwing tantrums when she doesnt get her way. What they are trying to seel us is a girl that would be withdrawn, even almost afraid of her father. Casey aint that good of an actor. Remember how mouthy she was about not getting her way right after she was arrested and mom and dad could not visit. Nor the brother... Something isnt right.

Yeah I don't buy what she's saying about her dad...I watched him testify and I just kinda believe him, you know? Add that to the fact that, like teko said, she doesn't seem the sort to keep that under wraps, I mean...why NOW? Yeah I get the whole you don't want ot talk about it, shame, embarrassment, etc....but...idk. The fact that she partied the entire month after her daughter was dead...while she was "missing"...sorry, that's someone who's done something and has no remorse about it.

I'm so glad I'm not a juror because I believe her @$$ is guilty.

I remember the partying pics. I tried so hard to give her the benefit of the doubt as I know everyone handles things differently.  But to be partying when your child is supposedly missing?  I would be spending every second of every day looking.  I hate to say this about anyone because it's so hard for me to fathom, but I think she got frustrated (we all know toddlers can be challenging at times) and she wanted to be without the responsibility of a child.  So she threw that poor little girl away.  No, something is very very wrong with that women.  If she was molested I am so sorry she endured that, but I don't see it as having anything to do with killing her own child. And as you said, even if it was an accident, to take the actions (or lack of) that she did is inexcusable. Either way, she needs to go away forever.

I was watching this last Friday. At first, I felt sorry for her because she lost her baby. Then I started to learn some of the facts about the trial. It was very disturbing. She went partying after her daughter supposely went missing and didn't contact the authorities. Casey's mother is the one who called the cops, saying casey stole the car and money. She also said there was a horrible stench from the trunk of her car. It doesn't add up. Casey knows something about what happened to her daughter. I don't think she's that innocent. This trial reminds me of the Scott Peterson trial. They both had the public searching for the missing people.

I read that the grandfather did try to commit suicide not long after the body was found, when I read that I had to ask myself why,
I don't think anyone will know the whole truth except those involved,IMO there is more than meets the eye.

You know what the poor child's death may have been an accident but they knew that the little thing but undergo autopsy and forensics and any abuse ,maybe by the grandfather or anyone else  would show up ,bruises etc .so The child fell into the pool drowned and they decided they better hide the body because the family 'secrets' would come out..I agree we may never know the truth ,one things for sure she didnt protect her child and in my opinion she and also the grandfather should go to prison for life .

Lets just say for the sake of saying that Dad molested Casey. Does that relieve casey of her responsibility to her child.

1. The day that little Kaylee supposedly died, her mom was out with her boyfriend having fun.
2. The police were not called about the child until 30 days after being missing and it was grandma that reported it along with the fact that her daughters car smelled like something died in it. (assumed to be a rotting pizza left in the car), however there was material found in the trunk of the car consistant with the earlier accusation from what I remember?
3. For thirty days Casey partied hardy, entering hot body contests, drinking, no remorse or worry noted by any of her friends including this boyfriend.
4. When police did get involved, Casey told them a Nanny took her and she was sure the child was fine, she could feel it within that her daughter was fine.
5. It would appear now that Dad is going to be used to cast doubt (and I wonder too if he will willingly allow this to save his daughters life?), which is my take on it because he has never turned his back on his daughter and mother would be livid! UNLESS this thing has all been set up to cast doubt.
It took them three years to get this to court in order for this girl to maybe, maybe get a jury that would not remember the facts of this case and have already formed an opinion of guilt.

I see a giant play being put together to cast doubt so casey doesnt get the death penalty. And the problem is, if I asked myself if I would do that for one of mine, Yikes! To save her life I probably would!!!!!! So I think its all being done deliberately but it will be interesting to see how they come up with evidence thereof without casey taking the stand.

Of course it could have also have happened that the child was abused and died of injuries and they decided to hide the body ..the partying shows a very sick mind ..I hope she doesn't get out of it and walk .

I wish someone could  invent a lie detector that would be admissable in a court of law,
I have read that they can tell if someone is lying now with MRIs as areas of the brain change when someone is lying, but can we rely on science?
Maybe one day there will be a foolproof way.

If everyone remembers she also was bonded out of jail by a bounty hunter and told him that she would help him when she got out try to find her daughter. The bounty hunter said when she got home she did nothing to help find her daughter. He said she cooked and ate and did absolutely nothing to try to find her daughter. She never would tell the truth about anything. Everything about the nanny was a lie. No real phone number or addresses to get in touch with the nanny she claimed kidnapped her. That is just one senario of events.
