the doc who'd operated on me 5 years ago had said even though they had to take out half my right ovary, I should be fine. My left was also damaged from undetected endo. I really haven't tried to get pregnant in a planned way (sex during ovulation etc) but planned ahead n got an appointment w a fertility specialist for may in case. At the appointment told him we really hadn't tried, but he looked at my history and age n decided to go for ivf immediately! So many injections later (even taken on board airplanes as I travel for work so much, and across ten time zones), turns out the right ovary has not responded at all! Left is sluggish too! Finally, four eggs matured and after the removal, two fertilised (well, three, but one was abnormal, letting two sperm in). Three days after transfer, here I am. Hopeful!
