The 4 mg. Nicorette Gum has helped me. Don't get the coated ( it doesn't have the kick we look for).. I smoked menthol so the mint flavor has been good. Walking at least 3 times a week is great. I'm up to 3 miles each walk. I would love to walk everyday but my lifestyle won't allow it.( I work nights sometime).... One day at a time...sometimes one moment at a time.....Remember the cravings will come~ so have a plan in place.Lay off the coffee BIG TRIGGER.....Change your eating habits.Incorporate good healthy snacks.Switch to a good tea instead of coffee.......I haven't slipped up yet but they say if you do.....just start over. I mark my clean date as August 15 2011....Yes there are times when I just know I am going to cave and yet I get busy and before I know it the craving has passed.....Yes there are times when Not Smoking just isn't all that great........But I don't want to lose my clean time......I haven't gained any weight because I haven't substituted smoking with eating or sugar........Good Luck....Sending prayers your way~
So........ the journey continues. I have 16 months free of smoking.. Every once in a while when I am not around smokers I will think hummm, Then we go out and I see smokers who can not finish their dinner without a smoke break. I don't judge them.... I was there for years. It just reminds me why I don't want to pick up the first one.... I will in stressful times grab some nicorette gum for a fix....I find I usually forget they are in my pocket book.... I pray every day that I don't pick up again...............
