Insomnia Is killing Me!

I'm still having trouble sleeping through the night; keep waking up to go to the bathroom and Sasha wakes me up too;she's always hungry! Can't stop wondering if I'm pregnant this time :P Whenever I finally do fall asleep I have these horrible nightmares of someone trying to kill me or vise versa!

Iv'e sufferd from Insomnia for 10yrs it *****, My life has been a roller coaster ride with alot of "BAD" financial Mistakes!

I don't think i will ever sleep through a night, Iv'e tried everything not Meds but everything else It doesn't work!

When i lay my head down my mind goes everywhere, or i get over tired in minutes than can't sleep..

Do you have any ideas?

Hmmmm....I use antihistamines when my insomnia gets to the point I'm slurring, bumping into things and grouchy beyond belief. My husband points to the bedroom and tells me to got to sleep. Easier said then done I know cause I have the racing thoughts in my head as well that refuse to let me sleep; I'm a worrier. As long as you're not pregnant now or breast feeding, I do not know you haven't said but antihistamines are safe enough and non habit forming, to me AT LEAST LOL! I still manage to wake up 3-5 times a night regardless bet I get at least 2-3 hrs in.
My doctor use to prescribe me trosodone to help me sleep a long time ago. It made me medicine head the following day,so I no longer take it.

If you do not want to take pills then perhaps reading a good book before bed will help or jog around the block a few times ; you'll get tired! I use to go running late at night in Florida when I was restless. Of course I was in my 20s LOL!
Specialist say that you should not give your mind any activity before bed like too much TV, Internet.etc...
I personally think that the more I work out my brain the more tired it will get but it just gets more hiper,so maybe the scientist are right hmmmmm... Don't know

I have horrible insomnia, I have tried many different things, I dont use anything now as I need to be awake for the babies, but I hvae used nyquil for a while then switch to tylenol PM, then advil PM, and the other thing I have tried, no kidding, counting sheep, I just close my eyes, and picture them coming into a pasture 1 by one and lining up, I never got very far.. hey its worth a shot, I read somewhere that it calms your system down and your so busy concentrating on that your mind cannot wander somewhere else.
