Yesterday (Friday the 29th) was my 4th interferon injection and by Saturday night I can feel the effects.  As usual my morning doses of BI 201335 and ribavirin had me heading for bed with pain/nausea by noon.  At least I was able to put in 4 hours at work before the sides kicked in.  I felt ok this morning and had cereal with cranberries for breakfast plus coffee.  At 10:30 I started eating a banana, a yogurt and an apple sauce with my pills.  I thought I was going to be fine but it's a good thing I went home at noon since it really got bad by 1:00 pm.  It is now 7 pm and I feel fed up with being like this.  There are 9 weeks of what I believe is 240 mg daily dose left to go but if I am on the 120 mg dose I have 21 weeks to go - AAGGGHH!!  I am really hoping for 24 week EOT so I can really celebrate the Christmas holidays along with a big glass of wine.  As my mother used to say "onwards and upwards".

Hi are you on a trial?  Sorry I don't know what the BI 201335 is
I know it is hard, I did a 48 week trial about 3 years ago.  I also worked though it,  I am sorry you are having hard time.
I wish you the best

This is a phase III trial of BI 201335 with SOC for 24-48 weeks.  BI 201335 is one of the latest drugs in the protease inhibitor class from Boehringer Ingleheim with an average of 83% SVR for treatment naive hep C type 1.  I am very hopeful that this will kick butt and I will end up virus free.  Were you able to clear the virus?
