Injection # 1... I made it through the first 30 hours!

well, I started Pagasys and ribi last night. I got a few head aches so far and my body aches in my bones, but nothing major. Mild flu like symptoms. I felt very weak this morning, but slept in, then got up and did my pilates workout routine. By the way, if you want good simple strengthening exersise, go to, it's free and amazing. It keeps me strong, and I plan to keep it up, no matter what. Now I feel like an insomniac, I can't seem to get sleepy, it's 11 pm, I feel amped, wierd.

Congrats on no longer having pre-tx anxiety :)  Thanks for the tip on the website, I will check it out.  For the insomnia (I have it too), try playing with the times you take the RIBA.  My nurse said not to take it after 8 pm (if possible), because it does have that side.  It's after midnight and I think I am finally sleepy....

Congratulation!!! I hope not to be too far behind you. I meet with the Doctor Tuesday to choose which med. I am also gen1a and am TX naive. Why did you choose VIctrelis? I am also leaning heavily towards Vic.... I will be wishing you good thoughts for your first week.

Hey, yes, Victrelis. I will start it on week 5. Yeah, maybe I will start taking the Ribi earlier. I am taking at at 8 am & 8 pm. You think it could be waking me up? Kinda' wierd, I didn't know it could have that effect. Thanks for the tip on the pedicures Babs. The place does autoclave, but its something I didn't even think about. I appreciate it.

so glad you finally got to start tx.  make sure you drink LOTS of water.  it helps with sx.  also exercise really will help, too.  i still do cardio 3x/week.  i can't always do high impact but i know something is better than nothing.  keep in touch.  belle

Good morning to you all. This morning, I feel quite anxious, like I need to run around the block and get my muscles moving. My bones ache, and I am stuck behind a desk in my office. Hoping to be able to find time to exercise soon, I get this way anyway, I do pilates often, and some cardio. I am studying to be a nurse, so one day, I guess I'll work on my feet and complain about that too, LOL. I just feel like I have ants in my pants and need to move around. Just venting.

yes i too recall in early treatment that wired feeling. as time goes on i believe it was less. i also found the trick of taking riba when i was nearly asleep. i put it on bedside table with cheese hunk or peanut butter on banana and waited til i read and began to feel drowsy from the half atarax that i took nightly, then i popped the riba with a bunch of water and slept thru the sx. it worked for me. keep the faith! babs
