Wow has time flown by! I feel like just yesterday I was pregnant and now I am nursing my 8.5 months old baby as I write thus.
Ellie was born 5 weeks premature but has done amazingly well. She is not behind developmentally. I'm very relieved! She is very bright and talkative. She began rolling over at 6 weeks said ma ma at 4 months, siting at 5 months, on Saturday she got her front bottom left tooth, Sunday the right one popped through and she also began pulling herself up on furniture. She now says ma ma, Mom, da da, Aba (Hebrew for dad) oof for dog, a da for all done, holds her arms up if you ask if she wants up and she does. She also goes on the potty and the other day she was sitting on the potty pooping and said "poopah". She sometimes will also respond to question with "es" for yes.
I am truly amazed by my daughter. She makes me laugh and smile every day. She rarely cries. At most she cries 5 min a day total but most days no crying. She still doesn't sleep well. She is up every 2-3 hours to eat. But co sleeping really helped so I could get enough sleep.
I'm truly blessed to be able to stay home with Ellie every day. We do have playdates so that she is learning to socialize with other children from a young age. I wouldn't trade this time with her for anything and I cannot wait to give her a brother or sister.
