Question

Oct 30, 2011 - 7 comments

Good morning ladies, I hope you are all having a good weekend! We had a snowstorm yesterday, that was just wonderful lol.
Anyway, I have a question, I already spoke to the nurse on Thursday but I'm being paranoid so I thought I'd ask you all.
Since Thursday, I wake up with a little spot of blood on my mini-pad.  The nurse said to me that as long as it doesn't increase or become more frequent, it was probably the prometrium.  I haven't had any increase and its only in the morning when I wake up.  Should I call the dr again or am I being paranoid?  Other than that, I feel great, no cramps.  Thanks ladies!

And again, thank you for all the great notes! SSBD to all!!

Hi Hon, if it makes you feel better then call them, I'm sure it's nothing but I know how you feel, if calling them again will put your mind at ease....CALL! You've been through so much! I am so excited for you. I can't wait to hear your having twins...lol. I have a question for you....how long did it take for the paper work and counseling for the DE?
Love Mel

In all honesty, it depends on how much this is worrying you.  And of course your feeling a bit paranoid.  You have worked hard for this and it's scary to see a bit of blood.  Technically, they don't usually worry to much about a bit of spotting. I know that, and usually advise women just to talk to their Dr. at their next appointment.  However, when I had it?  I called and got myself in for an ultrasound.  I knew it was probably nothing to worry about, but how do you turn off the fear?  It did turn out to be nothing to worry about, but that u/s gave me incredible peace of mind.  So, if your going to sit and worry (which would be so understandable), then ask them to do an ultrasound and have a peek.  Just make sure that because you are so early you know you probably won't see a heartbeat yet, and if that will just be more stressful, then it might be better to wait it out.  Totally up to you.  Remember that so many of us experience a bit of spotting, and most of the time, it's nothing.

Well all I can say is if it was me I would call. Calling again and feeling like you may be being a pain or whatever, is NOTHING compared to how important this is my friend!!  Having said that I totally think its nothing to worry about and I'm absolutely sure everything is fine, but even just having them note it down now if it continues or note that you called etc, is not a bad idea. Just having them say its nothing to worry about will ease your mind a bit!!! Hope you're feeling well and snowstorm....lol wow!!!!! I always wonder why Canada that gets the bad wrap all the time. We're still having some sunny weather mixed in with rainy days here in BC :) : )

Thank you ladies! I haven't seen anymore blood so I'm going to just relax for now and we will see how it goes.  I go back on Thursday, so if It looks like it continues or there is more I'll let them know.

Yes, the weather here is crazy.  My town canceled Halloween - rescheduled it for Friday, the poor kids!!
