Bad day

Jan 30, 2012 - 30 comments

Went to the Dr today.  was telling her how i had been experiencing mild spotting since finding out i was pregnant.  she wanted me to call my old OBGYN immediately to talk about Winrho shots and perhaps a US to see what's up in there.  I had marek with me and i stood up to pick him up out of his stroller and I felt the bad "GUSH'.  I knew exactly what that was.  i went to the loo and discovered that I had passed quite a bit of red blood.

Went to do a beta today - will be repeating on wednesday.  will be in for a US tomorrow.  I feel crampy right now - afraid to go to the bathroom - afraid of what i will find.

DH was actually more understanding than I thought he would be. He offered to come home from work to look after marek and he will be staying home tomorrow to look after the boy while i go for my test.

Trying very hard to take it easy - thankfully marek is being a good little guy and playing nicely on his own.

Nervous about tomorrow - dont really want to go on my own, but that's life, I guess.

Oh No Gi!   I hate that we have to go through this!  I will give you the speech, but you have been on here long enough to know it.... relax, feet up, drink tons of water... and of course.... Many of us have spotting and even red bleeding, w/ clots, (even me, with this pregnancy) and everything is fine.  I am praying for you my friend!!!  Praying hard!
I too, will be in that room with you tomorrow, holding my breath, and your hand.

Sending tons of love and support.

I'm sorry honey.  I'm thinking of you and hoping all is well.  Remember how much bleeding I also had with Ryder, and how many times I thought it was over!  It could just be one of those things.  I too will be holding your hand in spirit.

Thanks guys. :)   I dunno - the first few days I could have sworn that i was having some symptoms, but now there's nothing.  I guess I'm braced for the worst, but keeping a little spark of hope alive.  My appointment is at 10:30 - thankful that it's early in the day.  I sure wish i had a cell phone... i wont be able to talk to DH till I get home from the appt.

Will post as soon as I get home from the hospital.

Thank you so much for all the support - i really appreciate it as no one here other than dh knows what is going on so i have no one to talk to.  Nice to know that i'm not going through this alone.

Or for MIRACULOUS news!! G... This is crazy and insane! I am over the moon for you, WTH!!! I don't even know what to say, so I'll throw out a couple 4 letter "adult" words in my hotel room and drink to you tonight and be right here if you also want to let out a few 4 letter words of disbelief and shock!!

Im still in shock.

They were taking so long with my U/S I figured that something must be very wrong.  The tech even poked where it had been hurting and asked if it was tender there so i figured it was a tubal pregnancy.  Turns out I have a large corpus luteum cyst that is causing discomfort.

Both babies measure 6w3d and have heartbeats.

Now to wrap my head around this!  3 kids under 2,,,that's pretty wild.

Just heard from my doctor.  Upon inspection of the U/S pics they found the source of my bleeding. its not just implantation bleeding like the tech said she thought it was.   I wish my doc didnt have such a thick accent because I couldnt quite catch the words that she used.... hematoma maybe?  bruise or tear under the placenta of one of the babies?  Now i'm on complete bedrest... LOL dont think that's possible with a one year old to look after.

WOW!  What a story.  I was sad and then excited and now worried.  Will you have to be on bed rest the entire pregnancy?  Good luck with everything!!!

subchorionic hematoma I think.  Im not really on the ball today.... some things just arent sinking in. normally i would have asked her to clarify, but im still in shock.  DH is thrilled.  Im excited but a little nervous about all the work i have ahead of me.

Marek is being a good little guy.  he plays on his own alot now thank heavens.

This really is a miracle, isnt it?

I had subchorionic hematoma during my pregnancy and I was bleeding on and off till I was about 16 weeks.  Everything ended well.  Also, I was not on bedrest; my ob said that it does not help.  Hematomas resolve themselves by bleeding out.

Wow - double congrats!! I am so relieved that everything is okay and even happier to hear about the twins.  It is also very nice to hear that your husband is excited.  I hope things settle down soon with the hematoma.

I am sure that you are still in shock - but don't worry - I have not doubt that you will handle it with aplomb - you have more than enough love to go around.

I'm so sorry you have to experience this pregnancy bleeding again...I had light bleeding early on and it freaked me out.  Fortunately I think it was over by about nine weeks.  I can't imagine your stress experiencing it throughout your entire first pregnancy, and now having to go through it again. :(

Really hoping this bleed clears itself up.  Poor DH - I think he is gonna lose it if he hears that we cant have intercourse during this pregnancy too.  LOL  sex only twice in more than two years... poor guy! (and one of those times resulting in twins LOL)

the bleeding should clearit self up!! I had a little of pinkish blood! How far along are you? LOL!! He will get over the fact that you cant have intercourse! We can not either and all will be well in the end!! Positive thoughts are important and if you are able and your ob says it is ok!! Walk a little bit as you can!!!! I makes a world of difference! It sounds like thinkgs are looking up for you!!!!!
I hope  they continue to go well for your family!!

OMG!!!! I can't believe you are having twins!!!!! That's just incredible after all you had been through to get pregnant with Marek, and now poof... twins... that's insane! I'm SO happy for you though. It will definitely be a handful, especially at first, but it will be great later on to have your kids so close in age! Glad your DH is taking it well. It must have been quite a shock. I can't believe you have to be on bedrest. That's gonna be tough with a one year old!! Do you have anyone that can help out around? Hopefully the bleeding will settle down. I had a subchorionic hematoma but had no bleeding so they were just watching it. It went away on its own and was all clear by my next U/S. Wishing this all clears up quickly for you too!
