antivirals: entecavir plus tenofovir
i had to add tenofovir because alinia was not available any more in sept 2011 and entecavir monotherapy was not able to keep hbvdna less than 20iu/ml

hepatitistechnologies protocol is giving wonderfull results fibrosis is 5.6kpa, liver with no fibrosis or liver from heathy people is less than 6kpa

added immune modulators gcmaf in may 2011 and probiotic immune modulator jan 2012

future add on to clear hbv interferon+etv+tdf

what is ur current hbv dna level and ur alt and ast

Avatar universal
by stef2011, Mar 18, 2012
hbvdna is a useless test and is of course und since years, hbsag is the only meaningful test

since gcmaf add on to etv+tdf on may 4th 2011 hbsag has started a slow decline, the pick of hbsag was 7272iu/ml and feb 7th 2012 was 4200iu/ml, goal is hbsag 1500iu/ml so peginterferon addon will clear hbsag with highest probability

alt is increasing to 40-54 and this allowed hbsag decrease, hopefully alt will increase more so infected cells will be killed and hbsag will decline faster

normal ast/alt is the wrost situation while hbvdna undetactable because it means your immune system can t kill infected cells and you will stay hbsag/hbv infected

What happens to our immune system when hbvdna is undetectable and normal ast/alt?

Does our immune system believe the virus is going away on its own and our immune system lowers defense/attacking powers?  Stopping antiviral drugs would then give the hbv virus a chance to overtake our immune system?

How can we get our immune system to keep killing infected cells and clear the hbsag when hbvdna undetectable? Do we try vitamin d3 and interferon addon to force immune system to kill?

What happens to our immune system when hbvdna is undetectable and normal ast/alt?

it rescue some potency but it cant see hbv at all so it is totally useless to have it

Does our immune system believe the virus is going away on its own and our immune system lowers defense/attacking powers?  Stopping antiviral drugs would then give the hbv virus a chance to overtake our immune system?

hbv (like all cronic virus infections) makes our immune system blind, it catches some virions when they replicate out of cells but when hbvdna is und most of the hbv replicates inside the cells and tottaly unseen by our immune system

How can we get our immune system to keep killing infected cells and clear the hbsag when hbvdna undetectable? Do we try vitamin d3 and interferon addon to force immune system to kill?

researchers still trying.once hbvdna is und interferon has the ability to unblind immune system of some carriers and then hbv gets cleared
d3 activates more macrophages to detect some hbv but probably not enough, same thing gcmaf but probably not enough.we know the key is getting dentric cells active by gs9620 but we have to wait and see trials

hope all these inteferon dosent av any side effect

Avatar universal
by stef2011, Jul 21, 2012
even if so it is much better to get rid of hbv...interferon is what you feel when you have flu and sides can be no sides or just like having a flu

Avatar universal
by stef2011, Jul 21, 2012
as long as hbsag goes down i tollerate these sides but of course this is personal

hi how do u know if you're healthy carrier?

Avatar universal
by stef2011, Aug 17, 2012
hbsag below 500iu/ml (no other units only iu/ml)
fibroscan below 6kpa
hbvdna undetactable or less than 2000iu/ml, hbvdna is the less important test
ast/alt below 18

hi, can you please interpret the below results:

SGPT/ALT: 29. 57 u/l

HBsAg II Quantification 9985 IU/ml

HBsAg w/Titer (CMIA) 2866.200 --- Reactive

Anti HBs (CMIA) 0.00 mIU/ml --- Non reactive

HBeAg (CMIA) 1.612--- Grayzone

Anti Hbe (CMIA) 1.300 --- Non reactive

Anti HBC IGM (cmia) 0.050 --- Non reactive

Anti Hbc total (CMIA) 13.190 -- Reactive

HBV viral load  60 IU/Ml

Please advise what the results means.. thanks

HBsAg II Quantification 9985 IU/ml
HBeAg (CMIA) 1.612--- Grayzone
HBV viral load  60 IU/Ml

you have very high chances to clear hbv by peginterferon plus tenofovir, 24% clear already at 48weeks of this combo

when hbeag becomes negative and hbeag positive the chances to clear hbv will be extremely low

Avatar universal
by stef2011, Aug 19, 2012
so you better move fast because hbeag is turning negative (greyzone) and then the chances are less than 7% in 48weeks

this result was taken last year so it's almost a year now. Do you think i have to take another test again? I presented it to my doctor but he never gave me any medications and what he said is that i have to go back with him after 6 months which will be due on Sept. Does it mean that there is a possibility to become to become negative hepa? Am i healthy carrier?

Hi Stef2011

Could i ask about your probiotic immune modulator that you are taking?

Avatar universal
by stef2011, Aug 20, 2012
maf 314

Avatar universal
by stef2011, Aug 20, 2012
paulice recheck hbeag and hbeab

once hbeag is negative you have a virus mutation that has escaped your immune response, precore or bcp mutant, this is the stupid most doctors wait to happen and you just worsen because with those mutants you have less response to intf

Can i buy it even w/o doctor's prescriptions? or do i need to consult the doctor as i'm just worried taking any medicine w/o doctor's advise. please advice.. I also seen herbal tea at healthy options here in Philippines to boost immune system and for liver, do you think is't okay to take that?

hi stef2011, by the way what is the status of your hepa now?

IS there any interaction between simvastatin and alinia?

Can you take alinia and simvastatin together?

Hi, Could you please tell when I should start to take medicine? and which medicine?
The results are as follow
ALT- 48
HBV DNA (quqntitative) - 570 IU/ml
HBsAg (quantitative) >16,225 IU/ml
PT-12 secs
USG- Liver is slightly coarse

kabir what about fibroscan and hbv genotype?

your hbsag is too high to clear hbv definitively by peginterferon if fibroscan is normal it would be best to wait when hbsag is lower

Avatar universal
by stef2011, Apr 08, 2013
jeff alinia and sim canbe taken together but they have no effect on hbv if taken alone they can only work to boost peginterferon response when hbsag levels are already low baseline (low is hbsag 1000-1500iu/ml)

Hi stef2011

My fibroscan is 5.8. HBsAg negative, My Age is 42. My doctor told me to start Tenofovir. Can I start Tenofovir?

Kabir

HBsAg negative...means you have no infection!

i think you went to a false doctor this cant be true, even if hbsag was positve tenofovir doesn t work to clear hbv infection it is used only to block liver damage and therefore you need a fibroscan or biopsy to know if that is required

anyway if hbsag is negative and hbsab detactable you are immune

by Kabir71, Apr 19, 2013
Actually I am sorry for my typing mistake. It will not be "HBsAg negative", It will be "HBeAg negative". I need your suggestion again. Thank you.

Avatar universal
by stef2011, Apr 19, 2013

you need fibroscan, hbvdna pcr, hbsag in iu/ml by abbott architect and hbv genotype bcp/precore mutations to say if tenofovir is useful or useless or if you can clear hbv definitively by peginterferon

the chances to clear hbv by tenofovir are almost 0% on hbeag neg (same all other antivrals), it can only block liver damage if there is any...peginterferon can clear it definitively if hbsag is less than 1000iu/ml

another possibility is tenofovir for 3-6years and then peginterferon add on, tenofovir increases the response to peginterferon after many years of use but tenofovir alone is not a way to clear hbv

it is best you find a good liver specialist both for monitoring or for the suggested combo therapy

hi @ stef2011 can u interpratate my labs
hbsag reactive
anti-hbe reactive
anti-core antibody reactive
hbv dna- 6404 iu/ml
lFT normal
Usg Normal

also i hear now innactice carrier means hbv dna  <2000 iu/ml does this mean i have active disease

also i hear now innactice carrier means hbv dna  <2000 iu/ml does this mean i have active disease

no these were unproven fantasies of a decade ago, today 2013 inactive carrier is defined with proof by:
hbsag less than 1000iu/ml
hbvdna less than 2000iu/ml
fibroscan less than 6kpa
alt less than 30 men 19 women

all of these at the same time and confirmed every 6 months, evreything else is useless to define this status

so do i ineed treament because i cant see the doctor until june 3rd is that too long to wait

Avatar universal
by lonely245, Apr 21, 2013
and my labs are above what status do u think my infection is i have never had treatment and just recently found out

Avatar universal
by lonely245, Apr 21, 2013
sorry so if my hbv dna is 6404 iu/ml but my liver and scans are normal with normal alt can i still be inactive carrier with hbv dna greater than 2000

Avatar universal
by stef2011, Apr 21, 2013
those tests alone says nothing about infection status, virus/host balance, possible clearance by therapy.those tests can only be complementary to the main tests hbsag quant and fibroscan, sorry but they can tell nothing defined

Avatar universal
by lonely245, Apr 21, 2013
but sorry i am just asking considering everything else can u be an inactive carrier with hbv dna of lets say 6404iu/ml
if u meet other neccessary criteria like hbsag < 1000iu/ml fibroscan and alt <30 or does hbv dna have to be 2000iu/ml have active desease

this is because my doctor said my virus was inactive from those test results above so is in no rush to get me to a specialist

Avatar universal
by lonely245, Apr 21, 2013
sorry i ment if >2000iu/ml does this mean u definetly have active disease

I went for Hbv test on 23nov14 and was positive. My liver test was over the skies.. Six months later, my liver test is all within range but I still have Hbv. Why did my doc ask me to do another test in 6months. Are my results very bad?
HbsAg.  Reactive
Hbs anti < 10.0mIU/mL
HB e Ag Non-Reactive

HBV DNA: IU/ml :      6.64E+03
HBV DNA Log:          3.82
HBV DNA copies       3.86E+04
HBV (log  copy/ml:     4.59
She said to do a liver scan and the same blood test again.
Is there any hope for full recovery?
Please enlighten me
