fetal fibronectin & daylight savings

Nov 03, 2008 - 0 comments

This must be the coolest test ever for giving peace of mind. I have been having increased BH lately. They have been getting fairly painful too. Last Friday, I got up to pee in the middle of the night (seems like I am getting up about 2-3 times a night to pee a few tablespoons and go back to bed) and when I was done wiping I felt this odd sensation like something was falling out and then I heard a kerplop in the toilet. Well, I turned on the light to see if I could find anything, but nothing. When I brought it up this AM at my OB appt, the doc advised a fetal fibronectin test. It came back negative, which is great news. That means less than a 2% chance of preterm labor in the next two weeks. The test is only good for 2 weeks though. So, I'm sure that after my next visit on the 17th of November, I'm going to be right back to worrying.

Daylight savings has me all screwed up too. I am so tired today. It's like my body knows that I stayed up an hour later last night and even though I got an extra hour this morning, it didn't help any. Normally, my body awakens so refreshed, but not this time. I can only say that it must be being preggers that made this less enjoyable this year.
