Fighting Mad

Feb 08, 2008 - 4 comments

thanks everyone

Ok with all the support that I'm recieving, I got over the depression, now I'm ready for another fight. Thanks is just not enough to say to everyone on this site. Without ya'll yesterday no telling what may have happened. Now TODAY is a new day and I'm in fight mode. I have been on the phone since 8:00 this morning, but have found another Dr. in my insurance plan, a Hepatologist, at the UT Physcian (UT is teaching Hospital). I have now called my PCP to see about the needed referral for Dr. Satheesh Nair. Thanks is just not enough but there are no other words that even come close to describing how much everyone on here helps everybody.

I hear you!  It's so tiresome having to fight the medical system, and you're so right it putting it that way: fight mode!  Which UT branch are you working with?  I'm in Houston, so maybe I'm a neighbor. :-)  A friend of mine has Hep C and started treatment a few months ago.  She is such an inspiration to me as she has dealth with severe rheumatoid arthritis for much of her life, and now the hep treatment has about kicked the last breath out of her.  Somehow she's managed to continue working, maintain her home and personal life, and also deal with a bi-polar husband as the icing on the cake.  I know my own health issues have proved that I'm far stronger than I ever thought I was.  It's either deal with it all or fall down and die.  I'm not ready to die yet, so I guess I'd better just deal.  I'm hoping and praying this new doc will be exactly who you need right now.  :-)
