Joey, I just read your posts.  I think going to see a psychiatrist is a great idea.  Just make sure they understand addiction. Long term drug addiction is two or even three fold.  We take the pills to avoid the pain and then we do not deal with the pain.  It is a vicious circle.  I mean pain mentally/emotionally.  We become addicted to not feeling.  Talk therapy will help while you are trying to understand your addiction and learning how to stay clean.  Hopefully, he/she can help you with supportive non addictive meds to help the restless legs and basic yucks.  I found that the restless legs have been the worst part of withdrawal and without meds to keep it at bay I am not sure what I would do.  Opiates keep it under control, but I am not willing to do that again.

Don't be afraid to fight your demons with words...they are easier to escape than the drugs.  Words will set you free.

Good luck.

There is a reason that tears are wet.  They cleanse us with their warmth.  :)

Therapy is a great outlet - I think it's a great idea (oh and btw - one of the reasons I love my husband is because he CAN cry - and isn't afraid to show emotion - and no, before youstart to wonder, he does not go around crying all the time!  lol - but we want our men to not be afraid to show their feelings) - :) good luck - I think you're going to feel great after that first session!
