Trouble, with a capital T

Jul 18, 2012 - 2 comments

So, all was going well, undetected at one week and doing well the whole flight.  Now it looks like there is a storm ahead and I'm hitting turbulence (sorry, used to be a flight attendant). :)

Went to my visit June 7th and there was nothing new.  I was still undetected and my numbers all looked fine.  The researched told me I still had some follow up visits, and if it was going to show back up, it would during this time.  Went on July 5th and guess what?  "They're Baaaaaaack!"  Yep, it came back.  My viral load was 48,000.  They asked me to come back in that week (went back on July 13) and yesterday (July 17) got the news I'm at 248,000.  Interesting.

Anyway, I can honestly say that I did NOT recontract Hep C it must have been hiding.  So, as of now, my researcher is on vacation and will contact me when she gets back as to what's next.  So far, it's regular protocol and I am scheduled to go back August 5th.  I'm disappointed, but not crushed.  God is still in control and perhaps, through this, I'll find out what I'm made of! :)  I"m still happy and hopeful and believe that I serve an incredible God!

The story continues!

I relapsed after 48 weeks of TX in 2003... it was devastating news... but God's grace is all sufficient!!  He will get you through whatever lies ahead!

I am so sorry to hear that you relapsed. But, there are more drugs in the pipeline, and one of them will be your ticket.
Best of luck, Pooh
