PAINFULL LUMP IN BREAST

Mar 01, 2008 - 8 comments

I HAVE A PAINFULL LUMP IN MY RIGHT BREAST UNDER MY NIPPLE. I HAVE HAD THIS FOR A COUPLE  OF MONTHS. IT SEEMS THAT THE PAIN COMES AND GOES. I ALSO HAVE SOME PAIN IN THE LEFT BREAST BUT NO LUMPS. IT HURTS TO LAY ON MY STOMACH OR TO HOLD MY SON CLOSE TO THAT SIDE. I DONT KNOW IF THIS NORMAL  OR SOMETHING WRONG.

If there is relation to your menstrul cycle it might be nothing. Get checked.

Please get this checked.  It is too risky.   Ten years ago I had some green oozing from my right nipple.  No pain what so ever.  Went to the doctor.  He says, its problably just a plugged milk duct.  I don't recall if I had a mammogram or not I think I may have.  Ten years later, I accidently bump myself right under my right armpit and I'm thinking, gees, that kinda smarted.  Two hours later, Im thinking, gees, that still kinda stings.  I was one month away from my monthly mammogram so I thought what the heck lets go in a month early and just take care of it.  Guess what.  Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.  to make it simple, cancer in the milk duct.  so I ask myself what was that really ten years ago.
Anyhows, the doctor told me that if I had waited another month or two it would have changed my whole prognosis.  so, please please go get it checked now, now, now.
And FYI,most of the the tumors are in what they call the upper quadrant.  Let me tell you where that is.  Take your finger, put it on your nipple, and draw a line up to your armpit.  Where the breast and the armpit come together is the most vulnerable spot for cancerous tumors. However, they can be anywhere and there are several types of tumors so please go get it checked out.

I have breast implants that are under the muscle but I am having lots of pain in the left breast. The pain is pretty much constant and I'm taking motrin to help ease the discomfort.  I have touched base with my surgeon that did the implants and he said the implants look fine but eventually do need to be replaced but no hurry. The pain not only stays in the breast region, it radiates in the upper portion of my back and half way down my left arm.  I'm thinking I should contact my doctor?  Do you think that's a good idea or do you think I'm over reacting?  Some say it's probably called cyclic breast pain???  I just don't know what to do.

Both breaths are hurting on sides.  There are no lumps. Have had mammograms never have discover anything.   Though I had on my left a cyst removed I will say about 15 years ago or so nothing to worry. But the pain is still there.  The only thing might be my partner might grab my Brest during sex a but hard could it be the muscle tender

Might I suggest that all of you ladies make an appointment with your Doctor for a clinical breast exam and discuss these complaints with him/her. Waiting and wondering never cures anything nor solves any problem.
