Moving on from puréed foods....

Aug 15, 2012 - 3 comments

I need your help!!! I started giving Chloe solids at 6 months and she is taking puréed foods really well (of course fruit are her favorite). I've been keeping the purée a bit thicker and have tried a few mahed foods with her. She did well with mashed bananas but when I gave her mashed avocado (she loves puréed avocado) and she totally gagged and threw up 3 times!! I'm thinking maybe it was too thick?. Does anyone have any advice?  How to you make the transition and hat other foods can you mash??

Have you tried cooking apple and then mash it...my boys use to love it when I introduced them to solids. You can Also cook pear, and do the same. I use to cook, apples, pears, sweet potato and carrots.

Try the apple and pear and see how she takes it..I think she will like it!

Thanks! I've only puréed the apples and pears so far but will definitely try that. She does love them!

When you cook it it tastes different, it definitely stays moist and it tastes great :)
