For the past 4 1/2 years I've been suffering from vertigo, panic attacks and life altering conditions. I've been to several doctors over the years and none of them have been able to tell me what was wrong with me. My wife saw a show on Discovery Health about a Doctor who was the nation's leading expert in the field of Vertigo. She emailed him and in a couple of days he emailed her back, asking for all of my medical records. I was able to obtain all the medical records and we sent them to this doctor. He would either find something everyone else missed or point us in the right direction. Well, after reviewing my records he advised us that everything was pointing to meneire's disease. An inner ear disorder that causes dizzy spells... sometimes daily, which caused me to have problems driving or doing strenuous activities. That would cause me to have panic attacks... I read about all of my problems, including the inner ear problems, which I have tinnnitus as well... a loss of hearing in one ear, and a slight problem in one of my eyes... all of this adding up to his conclusion. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this disease right now. It is very rare, and not much research is spent on it. Basically, I'll have to take medications to lessen the severity of the problems.
