I'm 46 (and a half - lol!) I think there is one lady here that is 48.
I figure I still get a period, I still get a positive OPK every month, so I'm just going to keep trying until full-blown menopause hits. :-)
It can't hurt, right?
I'm going to a RE next week - probably get the same song & dance about how my eggs are too old, have to use donor eggs, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! Don't just "assume" - give me the (#%&! tests to be sure!! I'm fully covered so they'll get paid. Stupid doctors!
Thanks for your message. I know what you mean. I called a private fertility clinic the other day and even they (who could have extorted money from me) told me they didnt want to know. I have less than 1% chance of pregnancy. My eggs are old, deformed etc...But I wont give up hope, like you if i'm still functioning, its a higher chance than NO chance.
However, i must tell you that having periods is not a sign that you are ovulating. or is a pos opk o cbfm or other kits. Its a sign that everything is in place for ou to ovulate -such as hormonal levels ok, but wether you release an egg or not is another matter. So all the time i saw pos on my fertility momitor i thought i was in with a chance when i possibly wastnt even oving. Still , never say never eh.... good luck x
