So I was diagnosed last Friday with the wonderful bacteria of H. Pylori. Symptoms were shortness of breath (asthma like), light headedness, acid re flux, pain with eating, feeling full fast, extreme fatigue, and getting sick a lot. Finally after being admitted into the ER because I was convinced I was having a heart attack, they found the little bugger!
I have been prescribed Matronidazole 500 mg four times daily, Dicyclomine two times daily, and pepto bismal.
Last night was my first dose. I am not a pill taker more of a pill phobe, so mentally it was scary for me. About an hour and a half later I started becoming nauseous. Immediately I laid down to sleep so I wouldn't have to endure the ugliness the medicine had in store for me.
When I woke up I was concerned the side effects were going to interfere with work. Luckily this morning they wern't anywhere near as bad as yesterday. I am about to take my second Metronidazole and I am feeling more confident. Symptoms have already seemed to decrease which is exciting, but I am experiencing a warm feeling in my face without the flushing or red cheeks. Probably anxiety :) I will keep you posted through my treatment. No body has written about how they feel after treatment and I think it would be beneficial to keep people in the loop. Wish me luck!
