In an attempt to rebuild my gut, I am following the Paleo diet which stresses high protein, fruits and veggies. I am a protein type so grains don't agree with me. I can eat lots and lots of food and still feel better and either maintain my weight or hopefully gain a few pounds (of muscle). Already after 3 days, the gas and bloating are gone!!! I love that I can eat red meat if its lean, turkey, chicken, fish and shellfish! All fruits and most veggies including my favorite, avocado! Fats are limited to flaxseed, canola and olive oil. Nuts and seeds are included. I suspect I have a wheat intolerance anyway so no grains is a good thing.
