DH and Clomid?

So today we had the urologists appointment. I was soo thankful he said we were trying Clomid. Clomid gives mens pituitary gland a signal to boost his testosterone. This in term should help his spermies. I'm PRAYING it does. He takes it everyday for 2 months, then repeat SA and back to the dr. on July 15th to see how his SA is. He also told us since it only takes 1 sperm, but Brian's aren't that great, we should be BDing 2 days before my O day. At least 2 days before..that way if he has any that are good/strong that time, it'll give them time to get up there. He also said the egg can only implant in the first 1/3 part of the tube(right out of the ovary) rather than being further down in the tube? I had NO idea!! Anyways, thank you ladies SOO much. Please, continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I really really hope this helps and we get pregnant. Just once!!

On a funny note, I told him walking out of there today that I can't take his ego as it is. lol.

This IS never ending. :(

Sounds promising!!! Who knew clomid worked for men?!? Lol... I have everything crossed for you!!! I hope this is exactly what is needed for you to find success!!!

My hubby was on clomid before our IVF, it did increase his count. I hope it works for your hubby & you get your BFP! I wish you the best of luck!

Jenny, did your husband have any unwanted side effects at all? I know men and women are different but it messed with my vision while I was taking it.

Anyways thank you all again. I'm hopeful, started crying in the doctors office because I actually felt a sense of hope for once. Praying this gives us our little one.

my hubby took clomid, and 2months later his counts went up! We now have an almost 4month little girl....good luck

JMiller10..TY, gives me chills hearing such positive stories. I'm sooo hopeful to try this. Please forgive me for being so blunt, but did you have to try IVF or IUI to get pregnant, or did all it take was him taking Clomid? I'm PRAYING this is all we have to do. TY for telling me your story.

I"m so glad you've got some options! I'll keep my fingers crossed for some good news soon!! :) (I have to be honest though, I can't keep them crossed the whole time, I do have to work and all.... lol)

Just a question, my hubbys testosterone was extemely low, so they started him on testosterone injections after him being on them for 2 years, he had a SA done and they said he had no sperm at all , not even dead ones, so he stopped the progesterone, that was a year ago, he just had his sperm checked again and he was 83 percent they said completely normal, we are happy that his sperm is back, but now my DH has no testosterone, he has no sex drive and no energy,but we have sperm, my ob says theres nothing we can do just to wait till i get preg than my DH can go back on the testosterone injections, and the urologist said the same thing, but we are seeing an RE for the first time may 15th , i wonder if shes gonna say anything about it, or as long as his sperm count is high maybe it wont matter, i dont know

Renae, I have no idea! That's crazy that if they give him something to help it leaves him with none, but if they don't give it to him, he has more. Either way I hope you get some answers come May 15th!! Best of luck to you conceiving your little one. :)

thanks des, keep me updated about your hubby cause as i told u my hubbys going through similar things , maybe clomid will help my DH, i guess we will find out on the 15th, i cant wait for next wed to come
