Hi!
I do remember when I waited for my SSI. Seemed like ages, plus!!  The government is always hurry up and wait; just like the Army. It sure does sound like you have Neuropathy in your feet. That pain is just horribe. I had the pain in both hands and I could have screamed. I understand about your feet feeling cold too. That has to do with bad circulation and the neuropathy being diabetic. I was in tears daily and no meds would help. Had to have carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists and all the neuropathy pain disappeared. Thank God. My hands are still numb and I drop things, hard to  hold onto things and times I cannot even cut a meal or tie my laces. People without being diabetic can also end up with neuropathy. Good luck with your SSI.
