love and tolerance are ideals to strive for, and i have long been a proponent of 'live and let live,' but this crosses the line big time. before anyone attempts to make this an anti-gay rant, let me clarify that although i find that lifestyle to be something i would not condone, what two consenting adults do to each other is their business if it hurts no one else. however, a child is not a consenting adult and neither is a corpse or a sheep. but the legislation these elected officials are trying to pass would make it a misdemeanor for a person to expose themselves to your child, and a FELONY to knock the you know what out of them, which would be a typical reaction. if someone did that, or worse, to one of my nieces, a black eye would be the least of their worries. what makes such defensive acts "hate crimes" is the mindset or beliefs of the individual. if you kill someone, no matter what you think about their 'orientation' you should be punished. the government has no jurisdiction over our thoughts, only our actions, at least that's what i was taught in the classrooms of public schools. george orwell and geoff tate were not too far off the mark apparently.
my question is: how many legal american citizens does it take to serve eviction notices on capitol hill?
