We're three floors up and just have a little deck. So I still call her an indoor only kitty. We still don't have to deal with many of the issues that many with free-roaming cats face. I wouldn't let her out if we were on the first floor. It's against the rules to let cats run free here, but we're also surrounded by busy roads and don't want anything to happen to her. I also don't want fleas to come in again. I got rid of them for good that one time. No sense in inviting trouble.
oh I agree and as you are near a road its a worry ...we are lucky we have space so Tweety gets to go in and out ,,but like you I would be careful if I had to be ..she looks happy
