Each of the puppies in Frankie's litter were named after one of the hurricanes that hit Florida in 2004.  Frankie, as you might guess, was named after Hurricane Francis... We've had her since she was 2 years old and the older she got the more terrified of storms she became, often forcing me into "all nighters" because she couldn't settle down with a storm raging...

In this photo, she was, intently, watching my husband get her favorite treat from the top of the cupboard.  Of course, she had to make sure he didn't get side tracked... :-)

Unfortunately, Frankie, recently, developed lymphoma and day before yesterday, she left us for the Rainbow Bridge...She was my baby for 11 years and I miss her so much...

Thank you, Dee... It's been almost a month and I don't miss Frankie any less than I did, but I'm no longer grabbing her leash to walk her at 3:00 every afternoon or getting her bowl out to feed her at 4:00, etc.  Old habits do die hard, though...  :-)

I am so sorry for your loss, Barb.  I like to think that all the MH pets who have passed welcome each other to the Rainbow Bridge.  Jade was right in front welcoming Frankie with open paws.  Hugs to you~
