I'm certain you'll get to go to your happy places for real. Not everything is imagination. My older brother had two fingers on his dominant hand cut off by accident when he was three years old. Growing up all he wanted to be was a policeman, impossible of course. So he bowed to being told it couldn't be done and became a stockbroker. One day in a crazy downturn his job disappeared while he was in the middle of transferring from New Jersey to Florida. The only job he could get in a hurry was as a security guard.
Once in that uniform the dream of becoming a policeman was re-born... I won't bore you with the (extraordinary) details of what he had to do to make his dream a reality, but he is now retired from the Margate, Florida police force (he retired a detective, after being their Field Training Officer for seven years, among other things) and is working as a consultant to the FBI. He travels all over the world, to the most exotic places. He's always planning his next "adventure".
Without a dream he would have gone nowhere. Being a policeman was his happy place... working for that allowed him to travel the world. Go ahead, Cloud... DREAM!!!
