A dear friend of mine is losing her battle with breast cancer. Just had this irresistible urge to make a quilt for her. The white/cream blocks are for friends to write their memories, send their love. Her body may lose the battle against the beast but her life of love will go on forever in the people she's touched. We just got home from the hospice house. She's in her final hours, not conscious. But we laid the quilt over her bed, the choir came and we sang some of her favorite songs and kissed her goodbye. Her family seemed to appreciate the love and care.
